I am really surprised. For use on marshes there are hovercraft available, all our ports are easily accessible by land routes; we have no bases on the offshore islands. What do we need a Landing craft for?

Surely we are not going to invade India by the sea; overwhelming strength of the Indian Navy means we would not be able to extract the landing party. I would have thought that for landing and extracting small sabotage parties, midget submarines would be far more effective.

I am not convinced about veracity of the news, if KSEW is constructing a Landing Craft; it would for some other navy such as Indonesia or China, not for the PN.

That will be even better as far as i am concerned. We really do not need the landing craft that much and if we have gotten some export order then that is good news.

I think nothing wrong in acquiring the knowhow to construct landing crafts. we may not need it but then again having few in your inventory, there is no harm.

Why not ? our enemy coasts are not very far we can attack the coastal areas of our enemies.

Not just attack we have deploy troops rapidly to save coastal areas like sir creek.

No where in the current budget has there been a generous increase in the navies budget.
12000 marines for what for planting mangroves and fishing. ?
