The Kingdom is participating in the 3rd World Marine Protected Areas Congress in Marseilles and the high-level ministerial meeting on the French island of Corsica from Oct. 21-27 to be organized by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and the French MPAs. A ministerial meeting in Corsica will be attended by Prince Khalid Bin Sultan, chairman of the Khalid Bin Sultan Foundation for Protection of Marine Life and Prince Bandar Bin Saud Bin Mohammed, chairman of the Saudi Wildlife Commission.

This is great news. There should be much closer cooperation between the Arab world with all its fast coastlines be it the Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea (longest coastline is Arab), Arabian Sea, Red Sea, Gulf of Oman, Libyan Sea, Gulf, Indian Ocean, etc. and the international community especially the countries that border the Arab world. Not to mention just the whole world.

KSA having a nearly 3000 km long coastline, one of the best marine fauna in the world, second biggest coral reefs in the world in the Red Sea and 1300 tropical islands should play a much greater role.
I am afraid that the climate will only get worse in the upcoming decades and the cost will be payed by us humans and the nature. That should not be allowed to happen.

I would hate to see this suffer:
