CHARSADDA – A grade 12 student at a college in Khyber Charsadda shot dead his principal after accusing him of blasphemy on Monday, police said.

The area police said Faheem fired six bullets at Islamia College Shabqadar principal Sareer which proved fatal, according to local media reports.

Police said the principal had snubbed Faheem for participating in the Faizabad sit-in and ruled him absent for three days.

The accused, who says he has no remorse, is in custody while an investigation is in process.

That @$$h0l3 should be shot on sight by police instead of wasting funds keeping him in jail, driving to courts and wasting court's time.

The law has been misused by mullas, and nobody can do anything about it, what a shame.

Forget the two nation theory.
Now we need a multiple nation theory because from the looks of it other ethinicities and religions are a long shot (pun not intended), we can't even tolerate other opinions. What happened to the blasphemy law which was meant to reduce these cases but from the looks of it they're ever increasing. Society needs a reboot.

We cannot compromise this law due to a bunch of nut heads misusing it.
Infact incidents like these can't even be termed as the misuse of the law. Such murders have nothing to do with the law.

Again, the govt is responsible for this. If I am reassured that the who commits blasphemy against my beloved Prophet PBUH will be penalized according to the Islamic law, I will never ever think about taking the law in my own hands.

Mullas have used these laws as it suits them, it is time for true Islamic scholars and Clerics to issue an statements against these mulla and those who misuse Blasphemy law.

If he truly loved the Prophet (s.a.w.) he should have gladly accepted the absent marking rather than killing the principal with false accusations of blasphemy. He needs to be tried for murder and dealt accordingly.

The law should be equally lethal and effective for both blasphemers and the misusers of the blasphemy law.

Just for snubbing him. Just for berating him for leaving school for three days.

I have stated it before and I will state it again. The victory in the war on terror on the battle field was a mere part. A fraction. True war was to be fought in the society. The mind of the masses. That's where this war was to be won.

Militarily we won the battle but we are losing the war. The people are radicalized and the state has done little to combat this. In fact the state has only done abject surrender which has emboldened the extremist elements.

Its time we take concrete steps to combat this.

This is the educated crop. These are not your peon jahils. These are people in colleges and universities.

A nation is on a brink of its destruction when the educated act like jahils.

Hopefully he gets full time and hanged till death. He was old enough to know what he was doing and he doesn't regret it. That deserves capital punishment

Just cause he was marked absent for 3 days for participating in faizabad sit in. By what measure of human logic is it blasphemy? Thats just following college rules.

This blasphemy law where death is added as a punishment is the real issue, remove death sentence , its just allowing these just cases to misuse the law.

I wonder how can we make a law more lethal that already stipulates mandatory death penalty for all blasphemers, without even defining what qualifies as blasphemy .... Also, neither the circumstances, nor the intention of the offender is considered ... All you need is witnesses who testify before the court that blasphemy was committed and they don't even have to repeat in the court what was said/written by the alleged offender, and the court hands over death penalty ....

I think the twisted logic behind this idiotic killer's motive is that since the principal has reprimanded him for attending the faizabad sit-in, he does not agree with the khatem-e-nabuwwat law and hence is blasphemous. The lack of braincell's amongst the Pakistani population is why the country is in such a state.

80 stripes before the death sentence?

The thing is that right now anybody that even says we should discuss note not do but discuss amendments is under threat of being killed by extremists.

Islam at the start was a religion of discussion and many many laws and hadith's were discussed but we are standing at this point where the mere mention of discussion is enough to brand you a heretic.


The blasphemy law ( a product of British law mind you) needs to be revised massively if not removed entirely.

The problem is that at point its the strength of the state that decides this but the state is a mouse. A cowardly mouse where parties are looking to grab each other's legs to take power.

Don't you think in a country where simply changing a word in an oath that means the same thing but that change shuts down the capital causes millions of dollars of losses and injuries and deaths, even a simple discussion in the parliament would turn into a riot.

There is something fundamentally wrong here. Our ability to think is dying. Not good.

I expect KPK government to make a swift example of him. He should be sentenced for murder and either imprisoned for life, or executed.
