ISLAMABAD: The Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has secured popular support for its performance in Governance, with reception of positive Approval Ratings in 18 out 28 Governance Indicators.

These public views are part of a Nationwide Public Opinion Poll conducted by PILDAT on Quality of Governance in Pakistan at the completion of the second year of the current Federal and Provincial Governments in office elected through the General Election 2013.

These survey results are the second part from a two-part PILDAT survey covering separately Quality of Democracy and Quality of Governance.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has emerged as the clear front-runner with positive evaluation on 18 out of 28 Governance Indicators, followed by the Government of Punjab, positively evaluated on 8 out of 28 Governance Indicators, Government of Sindh and Balochistan, both positively evaluated on only 2 out of 28 Governance Indicators, by the respondents resident in the respective provinces.

However, with reference to nationwide public opinion on the overall popularity of the Provincial Governments, the Punjab Government garners the highest Approval Rating at 76%, followed by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at 38%, Government of Sindh at 30% and the Balochistan Government at 28%.

Results show that the performance of the Provincial Chief Ministers closely follows the performance of the Provincial Governments as well.

Impressive. Most impressive. The most interesting is how far sindh has fallen due to electing of people bcz once upon a time their party had guys who were killed aka PPP

The extent of the fall of sindh is this that Baluchistan is beating sindh in education, transparency as well as agricultural reforms which I highlighted here as well as investment friendly environment. Law and order is Baluchistan govts greatest issue and any good work they do gets blasted when terrorism strikes especially due to callous attitude of the provincial govt.

Now the most impressive now doubt has been KPK who in a short while has uplifted itself impressively which also prompts me to support the FATA kpk merger bcz the only way FATA will get good governance as well as development is by becoming part of kpk under PTI. Their most impressive feat has been law and order. They have done very well and although incidents do happen ( which will not stop till border is secured and NAP is implemented) but they are being reduced and the security situation is improving.

Now before the 2013 elections the media would visit various cities asking people of kpk about which party they would chose next and what would they expect from them. Many said Imran and they stated that they desire only two things. Security and education. If he fails to deliver these two then we will kick him out.

The survey says he is doing brilliantly here.

It was expected. Good job . And congrats to police ,security personals, guards, everyone for such good performance. Law & order is improved 72 % which is huge. It is due to independent police and trust of KPK people on police.
While punjab wins in Public Transport , & utility bill collection While KPK is doing good in tax collection.

I want to see baluchistan in top position but corruption is main issue :(
Sindh has not good performance .

Strange people of KPK do not desire roads and bridges and underpasses.

I cannot understand this. How would people of one province evaluate performance of another province, especially when they are not living there?

Also security issues

PILDAT is now funded by PTI @SBD-3

Check the regional results

I think what he is saying is correct. CM Khattak is not such a popular Chief Minister in KPK as a whole. He is popular in the main voting belts such as Peshawar and Nowshera, but overall he is not that popular in KPK. Replace Khattak with IK, and watch the poll change. PTI will get votes in KPK on IK's name and not Khattak.
