Im watching this Korean + Vietnamese collaborate song. This is future music. A song is sing with two languages.

Does that means Kpop/Kdrama = Chinese + Korean + Japanese? East Asian refers to similarities in culture not the same culture. Each culture has its unique and differences.

Speaking about Similarity I believe Vietnam also has similarities (not the same) why Vietnam is not included? It is because the Chinese motive is linking developed countries such as Korea and Japan while axe out Vietnam because Vietnam simply poor country. Chinese consider Vietnam as South East Asian because, the Chinese thinks SEA = poor, backward while East Asian = developed and that included China, (though the fact China is not developed, is developing instead).

See how bias and racist and shameful Chinese is? Funny thing, Japanese does Not want to link with China nor Korea, Japanese look down on both Korea and China.

The question has been asked in Chinese forum some months ago,so I agreed to some of ur points...
I have seen some guys think SK,JP absorb Chinese culture but they disagree with VN,that's terrible..

Besides, Chinese women make great wives and mothers.

You are being too sensitive and paranoid lol. East Asia refers to geography, so that's why Vietnam, located in Southeast Asia, is usually excluded. Don't mix geography and culture up. If you're referring to the the cultural region, it's actually called the 'Sinosphere', based on a common Confucian + Hanzi heritage.

Anyway, no one is saying Vietnam is not part of the Sinosphere. But you of all people should know there are marked cultural gradations in Vietnam. Northern Vietnam is a lot more Confucian than Southern Vietnam, which has a more Khmer Jungle flavor.

Are we talking about geography here? Is Kdrama product of geogrphy or culture? It is indeed geography Vietnam belong to South East Asian, however we are talking about culture here.

To clarify Some of you may think I want Vietnam to be part of East Asia, that is wrong. My thinking and education is westernize. I look thing in more western perspective than Vietnamese.

East Asia is for location, not to understand by culture. Yet, so many Chinese fail to understand this simple. When talk about culture is confucism culture, not East Asia. Singapore has large chinese ethnic, its society has more confucism but it is SEA country.

I know for sure a lot Chinese intention use the term East Asia to refer of everything Korea, Japan, and China and consider themselves belong to developed culture. That is wrong understand. Remember those term region it is the West coin them, such as Asia, Europe, America ...etc. it is the West invention. and the West dont look at thing and intepreted weirdo as Chinese.
