MULTAN: Strongly condemning the wave of recent suicide attacks in the country, Chief of Army Staff General Ishfaq Pervez Kiani has stressed the need of national cohesion and unity for the stability, solidarity and prosperity of Pakistan.
Lauding the performance of Pakistan army in operation in tribal areas, Ishfaq Pervez Kiani vowed that the action will continue against the miscreants and terrorists.
Addressing officers of Multan Garrison and Junior Commissioned Officers / Senior Non Commissioned officers separately on Tuesday, the army chief observed that suicide attacks have occurred across the entire spectrum of Pakistani society.
He said it is, therefore, essential that the entire nation comes together to strive for a stable and peaceful Pakistan.
Gen Kayani said Pakistan Army stands committed and united to serve the cause of Pakistan. Towards this end professional pursuits will remain their prime focus. He said the capability should be enhanced through hardcore training and motivation.
General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani also attended a briefing at Corps Headquarters where he was apprised about matters pertaining to operational preparedness, training and welfare of troops.
