AJ is a Supreme Court lawyer. He was defamed publicly by Kirti who told him about his forgeries right on the face. Yet he never filed any defamation why?

Because every paper would be produced in the court under cross check system at Kirti's request.

Seems like pressure.

Actually, the issue is getting complicated due to political considerations. The BJP does not waant AAP/Congress to gain brownie points on this. I agree with you that Amit Shah has no business trying to muzzle Kirti, and if PMO ends up putting any pressure on anyone including Kirti, they are guilty as well.

The problem is, Jaitley's own reputation is also quite clean. It is inexplicable as to how DDCA could have been so filthy corrupt under his direction for 13 years. Jaitley has sought to distance himself from the issue by claiming that he had not been directly involved in DDCA affairs for a long time now. Which is very plausible, considering how busy he is. But then, why did he agree to remain head of a body in which he himself says he had no involvement whatsoever?

Unfortunately, whichever way one looks at it, Jaitley does not come out looking good on this one.
