‘Kiran Effect’ gets world’s attention

A lot of such theories/mathematical formulas exist. String theory and M-theory have ultimately 'PROVEN' existence of 11 alternate dimensions on mathematical formulas.

They can't show them to us, but maths people have a way of claiming their formulas as facts.

Isn't that obvious? Mathematically the existence of Black Holes has been proved in the early nineteenth century (even can be stretch to the seventeenth century), while the real evidence of black hole wasn't proved until the launch of Hubble Telescope.

Yeah but a lot of 17th century beliefs/science turned out to be crap too.

is this Abdul salam Unification theory plz explain......

No, these are not diretly related. Dr Salam's work helped unify two of the three known Forces in Physics (Physics is trying to unite these forces). Kiran's work helps unite Quantum and Einstien's work which differ in their terms of explaining the physical world due to working on different levels (i.e. Einstien's work explains how gravity works (really, really big objects like planets and stars) and Quantum Physics explains how sub-atomic particles work like light, photons, barons (or particles that make up the constituents of an atom (proton, neutron).) At the quantum level the laws of Einstien's work do not apply e.g. no one can pinpoint in space where an electron is it's position is based on probability of being in one or several spots at any given time.

The major push in Physics since Einstien's time has been to unite the Physical laws at Einstien's level (really, really big) and at the Quantum level (really, really small). Kiran's work helps in that direction.

Hope it helps.

against the engineer... its highly unlikely...

I always like to confirm before I engage, sir, thank you for replying. If you are sceptical of any such claim by which you mean that I am delighted that this fellow has published his work in a good direction for Physics. I assume you mean this because I am from Pakistan. Sir, I understand your suspicion but my point of reference was not from a national identity but from a student of both Philosophy and Physics. Regardless of our national rivilarly it is my belief that we are capable of being genuinely appreciative of each other. We are like two celestial objects locked in a dyad orbit, even if we don't want to whatever one object experiences the other will too though in a different form. So if an Indian student has progressed knowledge bravo to him. If a Pakistani does it, bravo to him because it's about knowledge not solely his national identity. Being that as it may, I would fully expect that you and your nation would be proud of the fellow, as you should be, it'd would be weird if you weren't but I don't get why I or my nation should feel threatened or something because of it.

I would like to quote something from a Zen philosopher, 'It's not the friend but the enemy that defines you and shapes you the most.' Whereas I don't believe that we should always consider each other as the enemy I do believe that our rivalry can be something very productive for each other. Take sports as an example, the recent cricket match showed great performance from my national team but I also loved Dhoni's defiance to give in. It was a great show. Similarly, in academic research, Psychology in Pakistan got an edge over India by the introduction of Qualitative research in 2002 (this is to Psychology what Relativity was to Physics) by seeing our researches being published the Indian researchers too started to delve into Qualitative research and intitially due to the reluctance of Indian journals from publishing and supervising Qualitative papers, the Indian Psychologists contacted Pakistani professors (Dr. Ajmal particularly as he introduced Qualitative research in Pakistan, GC University, Lahore) and sent their papers to the Pakistan Journal of Clinical and Social Psychology once it was upgraded to include regional papers (from Turkey, India, Malaysia as of my recent knowledge). Dehli universtiy (I'll confirm it's name by tomorrow it slipped out of my mind I just saw the letter at my university) formally inivited collective papers and qualitative research workshops.

This might be a small example but it shows how the development in one nation influences the other to develop too be it from competition or cooperation.

Regards.

I won't rate mathematical derivations as beliefs.

Sir, science is always self-correcting, it is not far fetched to think that our current framework for Physics or any other sciecne might change in this century. I absolutely agree that belief is different from scientific evidence but it is still based on the philosophical premise of mathematics which too might change. Take for example Statistics, used extensively in the life sciecnes research is begining to be questioned (premises of Statistics, not life sciences) our most extensively used analysis: ANOVA, MANOVA, and the t-test (which test for significant differences in the derived data to be either from change in condition or chance) are being attacked for being based on an out-dated model of probability and the newer methods particularly Baynesian Statistics are better and much more accurate for life sciecnes research. If further work on this establishes a new premise in Statistcis then our knowledge of the life sciences would change considerably.

My research thought process is same as other's, but I like these fascinating stuff, no matter how weird they are..

Having said that, I don't even accept Survey reports with few thousands sample cases to determine the behavior of population of 10 or 1000 million. So, don't think that I am serious about it and have blind belief in it.

For me experimental evidence are important, data and huge sample size are important, but weird ideas and the concepts mentioned 3,000 years ago while we used to travel on animals few centuries ago,

Its all about just looking and reading about it. Imagination and Fiction have special place in Scientific Discovery. It gives people to think out of the box.

So don't get riled up and start judging me. This paper is published in 0.45 Impact factor and I have published paper in 2.15 Impact Factor Journal.

@KRAIT I read the word survey and I start looking for another report! Seriously I have seen how surveys are conducted and I myself have circled random ideas on surveys!

Mind you There are many of my type out there circling whatever they want just so they can get the chocolates, free item and what not once the survey is done :P

@KRAIT The ancients were a lot more smarter than us and knew more than us , than we actually give them credit for !

@Secur

they were because they never really feared being called an idiot because back then there was not much discoveries nor experiments to established facts so anyone could claim anything as long as it sounded nice to the recipient! :D or if the person could even in the slightest way convince the other it MAY happen or is possible ....

Only new Indian express is carrying this news, no other news agency is giving attention to this, I wonder if this is a serious development at all.

@curioususer that is what I said when I said I do not find it anywhere else even the journal he got his paper has low impact factor! If it was such a valuable discovery why didnt he try in a higher journal?!

@Talon Well in our field, the researchers bash these Survey takers. They say, you don't know what questions to ask and you do anything and publish the results.

First one has to sit and thing of problem statement and jot down the important aspects and then go for survey. And vice versa. It is feedback process and requires hell lot of time. But due to so much competition to publish, the ethics are forgotten.

World is full of these idiotic surveys.

Didn't need the "Kiran Effect" to believe in alternate versions of reality - the "Weed Effect" is usually enough
 You are my brother from this day onward.
