Fars News Agency :: Envoy: Iran's Documents Prove Israeli Spies Running Activity in Azerbaijan
Israeli Spies Running Activity in Azerbaijan
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran possesses corroborative evidence and documents substantiating its claims about the activity of Israeli spies and terrorists in Azerbaijan, Tehran's Ambassador to Baku Mohammad Baqer Bahrami said.
Speaking to Azeri daily Yeni Musavat, Bahrami underlined the terrorist nature of the Zionist regime of Israel, and stated, "The Quds occupying regime is a cancerous tumor. It is a reality that the regime disturbs security wherever it goes since its nature is intermingled with terrorism and espionage."
He said assassination of Iran's nuclear scientists testifies Tehran's claims about the activity and operations of Israeli spies in Azerbaijan Republic.
"I assure you that there are documents to substantiate this claim," the envoy said, and reiterated, "High-ranking Iranian officials, especially ministers, would never make such utterances without evidence and documents."
Bahrami declined to reveal any further detail about the case, and said the issue should be pursued through proper and relevant channels.
Azerbaijan recently sheltered several Mossad agents who had escaped from Iran after assassinating an Iranian nuclear scientist.
