What's new

Khalistan Thrives.

Since you have the gift of the gob, put it some worthy use and explain
what was the purpose of posting General Niazi's image. ???

you mean gift of gab??

I believe that was to show the senior posts sikhs have held in India traditionally..

Anyway, 2 wrongs dont make a right.. Responding to that post in the same manner deprived you of the moral high ground you are trying to take now...

Anyway, I am as guilty of this, so no more non Khalistan posts in this thread from me.. as a matter of fact no more posts at all in this thread from me...

Can someone let me know where is Khalistan thriving. I met a sikh gentleman who is here for some training and he seemed to be clueless. It obvious that WJ and some other posters (both Indians and Pakistani) are suffering from severe ADS. However must say this thread has survived longer than any Baloch thread.

Regards

I have few friends who are sikhs, they want pakistani side of punjab merged into indian side of punjab.

There's only 21,000 sikhs in Pakistan most of them are in NWFP. Sikhs dont even make 1% of Pakistan's population. Sikhs dont even make 0.001% of the population in Punjab province of Pakistan. Theres more Chinese nationals in Punjab province of Pakistan than there are Sikhs so theres more of a chance of Pakistan's Punjab province going to China than going to India or Khalistan.

You know well that it was a deliberate attempt to provoke hence a likewise response was in place as some only understand the dialect they practice.
The posts themselves are meant for a healthy debate and not to climb any corporate ladder.

Alarm over pro-Khalistan posters in Delhi:

New Delhi, Saturday, February 06, 2010: A sudden emergence of pro-Khalistan posters at the national capital’s famous Gurudwara Bangla Sahib caused an alarm on Saturday, with both the Congress as well as the BJP expressing concern.

The Delhi Police immediately removed the posters from the entrance wall of the gurudwara, following a complaint that the posters called for pro-Khalistan supporters to congregate at Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab on February 12 – the birth anniversary of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale who started the Khalistan movement demanding a separate independent nation.

Bhindranwale died in Operation Blue Star in 1984.

What raised eyebrows was a call in the posters for supporters to complete ‘the unfinished task’ – apparently the creation of a separate nation.

Sources said the posters were apparently put up at the behest of SAD (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann.

Reacting to the development, BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy said it was a “matter of concern and that the Central government should take action again separatist powers” trying to raise their heads again.

Pakistani Taliban behead 2 Sikhs

PTI, Feb 21, 2010, 10.34pm IST

PESHAWAR/ISLAMABAD: Two Sikhs who were kidnapped over a month back have been beheaded by the Pakistani Taliban in the country's restive tribal belt in a brutal act by the militants.

Some more members of the minority community are still in the custody of the rebels.

The body of Jaspal Singh was found in the Khyber tribal region, located a short distance from the provincial capital of Peshawar, while the body of Mahal Singh was found in the Aurakzai Agency, sources said on Sunday night

There was confusion about the total number of Sikhs who were kidnapped for ransom from the Bara area of Khyber Agency by the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan. A source said four Sikhs were abducted while another report said the total number of kidnapped persons was six.

The Sikhs were kidnapped 34 days ago and the Taliban had demanded Rs 30 million as ransom for their release. Two of the kidnapped Sikhs were beheaded after the expiry of the deadline for the payment of the ransom, sources said.

Gurvinder Singh and Gurjit Singh are still in the custody of the militants, sources said.

The kidnapping occurred in an area where there the government has virtually no control and the militants are in a dominant position, sources said.

A sizeable number of Sikhs lived in the tribal belt, particularly Aurakzai Agency, till the Taliban imposed 'jiziya' or religious tax on them last year. Most members of the community then fled to cities across Pakistan.
