Key findings about U.S. immigrants

. . . .
Just remember this - globally mobile talent can go anywhere they feel safe at. The US does not own Chinese or Chinese American talent.

China is a not place for foreigners.
I wonder where all chinese engineers that are graduated in the West go? Our company has difficult to find engineers. It’s much more easier to find engineers that are born in Turkey, Tunisia, Iraq than China. I would like our company has chinese engineers but it’s impossible to find any.

I'd assume they go back to China? From what I've heard, a lot of Chinese people who attended higher US education go back to China once they are done with their degrees. I suppose this has a lot to do with the current Green Card cap imposed by the US government.

Yes I think so.
However the situation in Germany is very different.
Germany needs skilled immigrants.
It’s very easy to get a job, and after few years they will give you permanent residency or even citizenship.
Try that in China!
Unless you can lead the Pla in a success landing in Taiwan its impossible.

Chinese do not want to move to Germany in general. Chinese either finish studies and move back home - if they like fast paced urban lifestyles/chance to be a billionaire - or move to/stay in North America/Australia - if they like a big house and want to make medium-high salary for low effort. Germany does not offer American style consumption. Germany also does not offer familiar urban environments.

Remember that immigrants on average are not representative of the average person. They are either more desperate than normal (refugees) or more ambitious than normal (globally mobile talent).

Quoted for truth. Emigrants / immigrants are totally not representative of the homeland population. One cannot draw conclusions about the homeland from the behavior of its emigrants.

Historically the number with advanced degrees who stay is extremely high to the point where China's leadership was fearing a brain-drain.

Immigration is the key — the secret sauce — of US success.
BUUUUUUTTT....long term immigration has changed the US demographics...and led to minorities having more wealth, access, resources ,etc, which in turn has made many white AMericans insecure, which in turn is threatening the social fabric of society. IN SHORT, US needs to work to have less racist govt and society, because the cops cant "protect" every white person or white power..time for TRUE EQUITY discussions and decisions on how to move the country forward as 1, in peace.

The average american doesnt like immigrants, and you can tell that socially in the US, they only like their economic effect- doing important but either cheaply paid or dangerous jobs, making things they like cheap due to their cheap labor, ITS JUST ABUSE masked as "American hospitality"..i myself have a small accent, but i have US passport, so ive seen all the ways Americans see immigrants, if you dont believe, ask actual immigrants, and they will tell u Americans are mean narcissistic selfish brats.

Every wave of immigration the US has undergone has caused tensions among the natives and the immigrants, even though the former benefit from the latter. Protestants were unhappy about Catholic immigrants from Ireland and Italy. The same when so many Central Europeans and Eastern Europeans also immigrated en masse.

But the white immigration is over, overtaken by immigration from non-white countries. And this has some -- especially Trump supporters -- worried. Changing demographics is going to cause some social friction in the US, but this is to be expected.

If there's one thing that unites natives and immigrants are their hatred of illegal immigrants.
