They are an Institution that have autonomy on imposing a dress code like any other institution in India. Muslim women who wants to wear face veil can look for Muslim schools that allow it. There are prominent Christian Schools that don't allow wearing any sorts of religious symbols including head scarf, cross etc... It's up to their parents where they want to send their kids.

A school management can impose a certain way of dressing for students. I can't say I shouldn't wear red coloured uniform, I can wear whatever I want, it's my fundamental right.

Nobody is stripping women ffs, just imposing a law in private institution.

If you read the article. They are not making an autonomous decision. The decision is based on "public" opinion and it is a push for assimilation. Not exactly democratic.. Either way it doesn't matter my original point still holds. The point is that a place that champions women's rights also is using the law to trample on these rights.

In the big picture, Malayali women have only just started to cover their faces. The earlier it's prevented, the better.

You want to sort out extremist problems then its time to look inward, blaming everything on outsiders won't help but make non Muslims even more angry towards ALL Muslims, because Salafists and Tableeghi Jamaat extremists are roaming around in Muslim communities openly recruiting people and calling for murder of heretics/kafirs. Whose job is to reject them? throw them out and shun them out of the community?

Yeah, and you are spreading hate from the other side and I don't mean sectarian divide. What you are doing is alienating a whole group of people. Trying to force them into a way of life that they don't want to adopt. This makes them even more indoctrinated into their beliefs and drives them towards the Sunni clerics. Because of these retard judges these families won't change their view point. It will make them even more conservative. It is not that hard and It is basic human nature.

How do you differentiate who is wearing a veil for modesty and who is wearing to kill someone?

I have no criminal intent. But each time I enter a mall, a hotel, an airport I get patted down and my bags are x-rayed. This is because the security person does not know my intent.

One of the ways to identify a potential threat is to look into their eyes. With a Burqa this isn't possible.

And don't give the justification that this is part of an islamic dress code. there are millions of muslim women who don't wear it. In fact I remember I was tread banned when I posted a picture of a Burqa wearin girl in a thread on Islamic Dresses.

Also don't say that it is a free choice. I have seen many women who remove the Burqa as soon as they are away from their family. Clearly they wear it only because they are forced by family.
