Also I think you are confusing CQB with COIN operations. For COIN you need bullets with greater stopping power, while in CQB you need guns with greater maneuverability as range is not much an issue here.

True again,but isn't the engagement distance in J&K less than 200m??The AK is accurate for these distances!The INSAS 5.56 is accurate for over 350m!
IIRC,BSF in J&K use INSAS 5.56 and I may have seen images of Indian Navy MarCos with the INSAS 5.56(training?).
So the INSAS is good for CQB engagements too!
