are the most topics discussed worldwide on India. Media has done enough damage to our nation and defamed it. I will be launching a blog soon hopefully to counter it with facts. And will persuade few Media people who are really sensible to counter it.

Not all social, cultural or religious laws make it into the constitution. That does not make in any less real. Does it ?

Many do not believe that. If court can intervene in this case under discussion here then court can also intervene in gotra marriage issue too. Both are related to religion

peoples having same Gotra cannot be married besause as far I know the persons of same gotra believe that they belongs to the same family branch and they related as brothers and sisters.

It cannot be enforced by the Police or in a court of Law, but it certainly can be enforced by society or by their families or by their community depending on their dependency. Khap panchayat being a case in point.

Those who subscribe to that belief can choose not to marry but there is no bar in law to those who do not subscribe. Incest is defined very narrowly in law, does not extend to non-close relations. Not all communities have similar rules, not everyone follows the same pattern.

Yes I know, that is the reason I am wishing you now as I may not be able to wish later on. So take it in a lighter vein....

And on a serious note, why can't you accept facts. Yes there are problems in India like any other country but denying them as some conspiracy is what I call absurd. OK so media is doing the damage, let's ban it and the problem is solved.. What say?

It can be made binding on parties unwilling to comply, just not by the courts or the police.
