Kerala Govt plans to Ban liquor

Now ,partial Prohibition of Alcohol, next is ban on tobacco smoking,
Tomorrow BAN on MUSIC,films,tv,entertainment.
Future--SHARIA LAW ENFORCED.
You see where this is going on?
I welcome the partial prohibition of Alcohol, atleast that will wake up the sleeping hindus in Kerala who are too drunk most of the time to see what is happening around.

The guy behind this is Mr. VM sudheeran who is the new KPCC president..... He was supported by other coalition parties, which includes, Christian and Muslim majority parties. Do not link this to religion....

I also found that line funny, CM was against this ban, when everybody acted saint and fought against bar(already close 418), he played a master stroke by closing the rest of them.

This is not gonna sit well with the Christian community, a lot of people that I know from Kerala drink. So not sure how this going to play with them.

Christian community???? They are the one who is fighting for this ban...... All this drama started just to appease christian priests during the general election. I think the plan was to enforce a ban and then later withdraw it by getting an order from court once the election is over. But court put ball back to Govt to take a stand on this case. The new KPCC president was adamant on the ban.....

Look at the events of past few days -

They fought for pork being served at a function of a school. There was fish for Muslims but they were not content with that and had issue how dare others have pork in their presence

The Vande matram dance was being performed by a group but as usual Islamists got it banished even though they were not the ones singing or performing on it.

Then the advertisement for Muslim/Christians only Jobs!!

Now Islamists got the liquor banished in the state. Lots of people travel to Kerala for vacation and now instead of scotch/beer/whiskey they will only be served coconut water. Cool isn't it?

What's next? Sharia law in Kerala!! Rename God's own country to Allah's own country?? Good luck Keralites, you are going to witness more of such things in the days to come!! These very appeasement tactics of Congress turned the whole nation against them and I am glad they are doing the same in Kerala!! It's about time for Kerala to kick congress out!!

one good thing about the ban is that you wont see a lot of drunkards moving around streets, though they may be drinking at home illegally.

To some extent it would help in reducing the social crimes and nuisance in public places.
With no bars in gujarat, what i saw was more of family and friends night outings on street and hanging around road side food joints and hawkers, were as in other states the foots go into bar etc..

And please don't cry about hyper active right wingers when you Keralites (especially the ones who think they work harder than most of the Indians) thank the post of a fellow mallu when he declares all the North Indian Hindus as extremists. Now face the ire of extremist North Indian Hindus!!!

Prohibition does not work any where.

It just drives the Alcohol business underground and creates a black market of these Alcoholic Products, which jacks up the price of smuggled Alcoholic products.

An unregulated black market also creates homemade bad products ( i.e. moonshine ) that kill people and the governments lose tax base.

I am not a Gujarati!! But yes its a fact that liqour is freely available in Gujarat as well!! I am in fact against such bans because I know these idiotic bans can never work!!
