Priest Dominic, who was one of those detained during the protest, accused the police of "being forceful" and said "they should be ashamed".
The protest comes a couple of days after the latest act of vandalism at the Vasant Kunj church, the fifth since November.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) had on Tuesday issued notices to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi government and the city police seeking detailed reports on the status of investigation into the latest act of church vandalism.
