Pakistan army does not want the current PPP government in power to come back because twice this government tried to cut them to size.The other major player Nawaz Sharif and his party PQML (Nawaz) is suspect in the eyes of the army because it was Pakistani army which not only dethroned Nawaz Sharif in a coup but also exiled him from the country for seven years.

Nobody in Pakistan want PPP to come back in power, and PPP & PML-N suites the establishment because there are 100s of cases of corruption against these parties and they can be easily blackmailed - Establishments always support status quo because their corruption & incompetency give them leverage to control them.

Pakistan army along with fundamentalist parties will like the new comer Imran Khan with his Tehriq-e-Insaf party to win. This will be a puppet regime for the army to play as they please.

LOL!!! If somehow IK becomes PM than he will be enjoying huge public support + no corruption cases against him - So, establishment wouldn't be able to control him. And IK - fundamentalist is a news for me.
