So finally curtain is being raised..

Is this the reason Safran is also roped in via rafale offset deal?

Kaveri and Kaveri NG which eventually should power LCA (variants), future AMCA and may be Indian MII Jets...

Why would we want GE 414 when we can get all this done with investment of time and money by ourselves.. and now Safran investing makes that also taken care of .. Does it not showcase the game changer tipping point..

Why would you start this project unless the earlier one will soon roll out and go for the actual deployment? Unless that has been evaluated by someone like Safran and this point of Kaveri NG becomes their binding promise for Rafale MII orders...

France's Safran Aircraft Engines, which carried out a technical audit on @DRDO_India's Kaveri jet engine development program, has stated in a report that the engine had attained sufficient maturity to be integrated with an aircraft for limited envelope flight testing.

Kaveri is no simple turbofan. Kaveri is a full FADEC, low bpr, flat rated, variable cycle engine, we are doing this on our first try.

this guy knows nothing about variable cycle engine at all and why kavery is so special for Bharat

What is the last engine fully studied and produced by RR ? Spey....... 70' design.
they only build 33% of EJ200. F136.... crashed.

Safran studied M88 from the beginning to the end. Safran is co producing the worldwide most famous civilian engin program. No problem of size to compete against P&W or GE. R&R is already losing the race.
