There is no reason for Putin to "start aggressive action in Azerbaijan". Initially Russia did almost nothing when Ukraine was overthrown, most of the aggressive action was on the Ukrainian side such as Maiden morons massacring innocent people in Odessa, then Ukrainian National guard attacking and shooting at unarmed civilians at polling stations, as well as National Guard attacking police that refused to take orders from them.

Ukraine poured gas on the fire, many of the people in eastern that initially stood up to the Ukrainian puppet thug government were locals and civilian volunteers from Russia, Belarus, Serbia, ect. Russia only started getting more involved when the Ukrainian government started to commit war crimes against the civilians.


Of course Russia wants good relations with Azerbaijan and for the most part does have good relations but even if things went bad their is no political parallel to Ukraine that would warrant any "aggressive" actions.

As long as Russia supports Armenia, the Russian political influence/cooperation cannot exceed some limits in Azerbaijan. That's a fact for us. Also, economically speaking, Russia has not much to offer to Azerbaijan, besides arms export, and importing food products.

About Ukraine, Putin did some hasty moves. He could have achieved his goals with being more patient and with much less costs. Now, he has thrown Ukraine to the arms of EU, USA. With or without Crimea, Ukraine is the most important neighbor of Russia, and turning her from a neutral-psudoneutral country to an enemy one, is not good in the long term. Although I can understand Russians sentiments about Crimea, and their interests about their navy base in Crimea, as well.
About Caucasus, Russia has a very wrong policy. If Russia wants to boost her relations with Azerbaijan, she needs to quit sponsoring Armenia against Azerbaijan. Otherwise, the relations would remain limited to few areas like arm exports.

We ask Russian gas because you are cheap. We can buy the same stuff from Iraq, Iran or Azerbaijan while it is cheaper to produce for them.

Azerbaijan has passed a law in which a person cannot hold multi nationalities, which this law is exactly regulated to block Russian claims. It means that a person cannot have Russian and Azerbaijani nationalities at the same time, unlike crimea. Also, the Russian population is very limited and they are not majority in any area. opposite is true, though, in which the border region of Russia with Azerbaijan(city of Derbent in Daghestan of Russia) is Azerbaijani populated.

If I remember correctly, Russians have given Russian passport to Abkhazians? I doubt if there are much ethnic Russians in Abkhazia, but I think most of them are considered as Russian citizens. Russians can still make problems.
BTW, is there any news from Abkhazia? I have heard some rumors about Abkhazians disappointment about the Russians stooges in that area. I think they compare themselves with Adjaria and seeing Batumi as a more prosperous city than their own cities. Is there any realistic chance for georgia to gain control of Abkhaz and Ossetia again?

yes they have given to Abkhazians and also ossetians, but occupied territories are under russian control so i doubt they will have reason to start "defending" their citizens, new government does everything to avoid war with russia, they haven't even answered at never ending violations of borders by russian side.
Yes, there is news from Abkhazia, they strengthened their "partnership" with russia . There are almost no ethnic russians in Abkhazia, only Abkhazians and armenians, it is hell on the earth, land controlled by Russian army and criminal groups without any future, even tourism is dead there.
