Welcome to PDF - the only place where having an opinion means more than having facts! But on a topic like this, it's best you support your position with evidence... And yes, I know you're a new member and can't post links. Be creative, work around that, but do support your position less this thread devolve into dispair.

Well said !

Don't know about the flags but can anyone explain if I missed something in history? What is this and when did this happen?

If you look at what I have underlined and bold, the first thing to go is Sanity, then logic and cannot say anything about being practical.

You don't know your history? Of course, you'd choose not to know, as the surrender of 90,000 POWs is rather embarrassing. Neither did you bother to read The Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report instituted by Pakistan.

Here it is for you info.....

India took approximately 90,000 prisoners of war, including Pakistani soldiers and their East Pakistani civilian supporters. 79,676 prisoners were uniformed personnel, of which 55,692 were Army, 16,354 Paramilitary, 5,296 Police, 1,000 Navy and 800 PAF. The remaining prisoners were civilians – either family members of the military personnel or collaborators (razakars). The Hamoodur Rahman Commission report instituted by Pakistan lists the Pakistani POWs as follows: Apart from soldiers, it was estimated that 15,000 Bengali civilians were also made prisoners of war.

Now you might even turn around and say 1971 never happened and that it's a figment of the world's imagination.

and which strategic areas were those?

if the referendum is to be help it is common sense that GB and AJK will be under UN or Indian control, so Pakistan couldnt do anything, now would the inverse be also true?

Those areas were in Kashmir including certain peaks in Kargil.

Until Shimla agreement there was no Line of Control..only a cease fire line of 1948. This cease fire lines was altered in 1971 war and India held on to its newly captured positions in Kashmir and LOC came into being.

The areas captured on the International border were returned to Pakistan.

What did you have in breakfast today? Clam down dude why so jumpy about it.................... Why should we give back 90,000 POWs to India? What if some of them are no more in this world? Un k badlay kya dain? Where is Logic? Where is Sanity? Where is Practicality?

And please don’t pull up something from archives again…………….

@RexImperio Welcome to PDF :-)
peoples like you always force me to believe that YES India and Pakistan can be friend.
You have just shown the path to peace, pakistan should withdraw army from Pakistani 0ccupied Kashmir and then demand for a plebiscite.
Anyways This is almost impossible, so the best way is to accept the LoC as IB.

Could say the same about the Baloch people.

Are you perhaps suggesting that Pakistan should break agreements that literally helped safeguard its existence when it was on the verge of collapse and face no consequence?
