Afghanistan, March 15 (UPI) -- Afghan President Hamid Karzai charged Saturday that Pakistan is supporting terrorism because it wants a regime in Afghanistan it can control.

Karzai, who leaves office after elections in April, said that some parts of the Pakistani government are backing terrorist organizations that are now killing Pakistanis. He said Pakistan has provided safe havens for the Taliban.

Neither Pakistan nor the United States are doing enough to work out a peaceful solution to the conflict in Pakistan, Karzai said.

Good taliban and bad taliban.

Reverse the same from Afghanistan's perspective.

The end winner is the one who wants to spread their idealogy in both countries.

The country and the way it's run has only negatively impacted Pakistan for years so obviously we're concerned about its leadership and the direction it's heading.

Afghan army personnel invaded Pakistan in 1960 under the orders of then acting PM Daoud Khan, their people have ransacked the Pakistani embassy in Kabul twice (once in 1955 and again in 1961) and their country even refused to recognize us at independence back in '47.

The Afghan state has completely failed it's people requiring Pakistan to support millions of illegal migrants from their country within our borders at a cost of some $200 billion (the UN confirms that from 1980 to 2001 they only provided a total of $1.2 billion in assistance for some 3.3 million refugees from Afghanistan which amounts to approximately $17 per refugee per year).

Instead of eliminating the drug trade, which the Taliban were able to do pre-2001 invasion, it has exponentially grown under the current governments watch. This is best explained when you learn that not only are drug lords (ex. Haji Bashar) actually inducted into the government but many politicians, even the head of state, have familial ties with them (ex. Ahmed Wali Karzai). This trade of illicit narcotics fuels crime in Pakistan.

Afghanistan presents multiple dangers and challenges for Pakistan.

Would Afghans rather remain occupied by non-Muslims and have India exploit their suffering for access to mineral deposits or would they rather have Pakistan, a nation that has only shown them love/respect, be there to guide them?
