The more one tries to learn these things, the more intriguing they become.The Army is above such inquires in Pakistan. Kargil is only one such episode.. it took twenty years for the report on 71 to come out. Even officers that wish to cooperate and improve their processes are put aside by people like Musharraf. Essentially there is massive intellectual and moral corruption towards the top in the Pakistan Army and sadly it is systemic.. so even if there are good officers that make it to the top, they find this lack of initiative and lax attitude along with self preservation ingrained in the "aura" of the GHQ.
I always believe that an institute within a society or a nation cannot be bigger than that.
perhaps one day, i'll learn a bit more about what actually went in minds of General Musharaff and his peers during Kargil, from u sir.
