Karaok: Javelin equivalent Turkish ATGM is revealed

.
Missile looks very big. Not sure if its easily man portable like the Javelin as the title suggest.

OMTAS missile

It is smaller than OMTAS missile and can be handled by single soldier. The images may mislead the perception regarding the missile size.

There is not much alternatives of such fire/forget man portable missile system in World. USA Javelin, Israel Spike-SR, Sweeden NLAW, China HJ-12. New player will be KaraOk.

But like Gripen, it has too many western components. Britain blocked Gripen export to Argentina. If high tech is so easy to make, Argentina would have been able to make it. Argentina is under western technology sanction for laying claim to Falklands.

You again with your unsubstantial claims and nothing to back them up with. Which part of the Karaok (of which many details are vague) is prone to western sanctions?

You know what - scratch that. I have a better question for you ; how many critical systems make a modern ATGM? What are the must-have critical components inside these systems?

Just answer that part, we'll worry about if Turkey actually produces these or not later on.

And what makes Turkey able to make it when Argentina cannot?

. . . . . . . . .

Interesting they've gone for round pads, this is most likely just for mockups. As scientific research paper (yes university in Turkey tasked to research pads on end of missile for all use scenarios) into developing foam pads for OMTAS missile had angular pads as being best as absorbing impacts.
