Karachi Violence .. Updates & Discussion ..

well i think we should make shoe-laces out of the mustaches of all these cowards who resort to ethnic politics and urban warfare to suit their nefarious objectives.....all those political parties have blood on their hands

time and time again, i feel let down by the people of Karachi.

well we can all agree that if altaf hussain wants to be a part of Pakistani politics or comment on Pakistani affairs, he should at least get the nationality (the one he surrendered for Britisher passport)

just a thought.....i think thats a reasonable ''minimum request''

yeah .. but that will never happen buddy .. far from that .. even his blind supporters here won't agree that Altaf is a problem ..

Abou, no one knows what is the report of interior ministry on the culprits.

IMO.. all the trouble is product of Rehman Malik and Zulfiqar Mirza.

Forget the elections from these thugs.

There shall be no doubt that govt. is working on anti state agenda... all the terrorists and criminals are planted by Rehman Malik in collaboration with respective provincial govts. upon the advise of anti Pakistan forces.

Have you not seen every attempt has been made to trigger all kind of wars in Pakistan! Elections would be a perfect pitch for anti state elements to give their best.

Their are many forces working against Pakistan... since long time, while Zardari and party are their most effective to achieve their evil plans.

Suspected Taliban commander arrested in Karachi: CID

Published: August 16, 2011

Suspect claims Baitullah Mehsud visited Karachi a few years ago and stayed at his residence.

KARACHI: Karachi’s Crime Investigation Department (CID) police arrested on Tuesday suspected Taliban commander Fazal Mehsud from the Kemari area in Karachi.
Weapons were also seized from his possession.
According to Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) CID Operations Fayyaz Khan, Mehsud was associated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan faction.
The alleged Taliban commander was a close associate of the head of Tehree-e-Taliban Pakistan Baitullah Mehsud and Commander Faiz Muhammad.
SSP Fayyaz Khan said that during interrogation, the suspect revealed that Baitullah Mehsud had visited Karachi a few years ago for treatment.
He also claimed that Baitullah Mehsud stayed with him at his residence in Karachi.
According to CID police, the suspect is also involved in fund raising for Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and other terrorist activities in Waziristan.
Earlier this month, with the help of an informant, the anti-extremism cell of the Crime Investigation Department arrested seven suspects belonging to different banned outfits and gangs.

KARACHI: After a brief period of relative calm in Karachi, firing incidents claimed 12 lives in the last 24 hours, DawnNews reported.

The dead included two people who were gunned down Tuesday morning.

Assailants killed a man in Sector 4-F of Orangi Town while another person was targeted in Ashrafi Goth today.

On Monday night, assailants sprayed a car with bullets in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town, killing two people. Moreover, an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was gunned down in the city’s Pir Ilahi Bux (PIB) Colony.

Furthermore, two people, including a 12-year-old child, were killed in separate incidents of firing late on Monday in Orangi Town.

Eight people were killed in the city’s North Nazimabad, Jaffar Tayar Society, Landhi and Joharabad areas on Monday.

According to a police record, so far, 1,300 people have been killed in the current year.

Kemari is a ANP stronghold , thus its not wrong to suggest , considering the no of TTP terrorist arrested , since past few years.

Not directly but it is highly suspicious that every terrorist that gets caught is from ANP areas.

and MQM's foot soldiers dont dominate ''MQM areas" ???

o residents of Karachi --end this turf war mentality....get your acts and your mentalities together

Hi,

Swat's a hell of a lot more peaceful than Karachi is at this moment.

the air is also a lot more clean, the grass -- green.

Plant some trees, have a tanda botal and embrace your neighbour residents. The political parties and their badmashi sponsored turf wars are to your peril.
