Dear you need to understand the dynamics of Karachi has changed since 90s era, now MQM is not the sole responsible of unrest in KARACHI....and every violence which take place in KARACHI is not a political violence

Karachi is facing three type of violence

1- Political Violence: In this political violence PPP, MQM,ANP, JSQM, SUFP are involved

2- Religious/ Sectarian Violence: Lasker/ Jaish of both sects are involve in it.....with the help of some political leaders.

3- Local Gangsters: they are involved in Land Grabbing, Parchi, extortion and Kidnapping they seek refuge in political parties having strong hold in their area of operations.

So the only solution for KARACHI problem is to Depoliticize and Deweaponize whole city for some time at least for 5 years.

Karachi is politically,ethically and linguistically messed up. Imagine where areas owned and marked by political parties. Karachi have become a time-bomb which will self destruct. It was Sindhi Hindus who created karachi and it is over the years, Altaf bhai who has maintained karachi to its past glory and now with Pakjabis and Taliban at its helm of affair, things are bound to fail.

Not only sindhi hindus. Parasi's used to be a prominent community that built Karachi. But karachi has always maintained a distinct identity. However, now the orignal residents of karachi have mostly left and only a small population continues to live.

I think all parties agree to deweaponise & depoliticize but will MQM agree??? answer is NO WAY! they will cry & cry! and say stuff like start from north start from the sea or from balochistan but not Karachi!
