Karachi situation. Where was ISI.

Based on information given by Zulfiqar Mirza, which seems to be correct, where is/was ISI when these political parties are/were working against country? I now doubt that ISI is working in the best interest of the country. Is it compromised? ISI and other agencies knowing that business community is very much effected by these enemies due to ransom, strikes and other known facts and it can cause an unexpected loss to country's economy not seem to be doing to discourage it, why?
Appointment of highly corrupted faces on upper levels and above mentioned facts indicate a complete failure of ISI.

The role of the ISI is very clearly defined and it has to operate within those parameters. This role does not officially include monitoring the politicians , although it has been criticized in the past for meddling in the political realm.

The external matters are much more of a concern for them.
After the Raymond David incident, the ISI has been working under the covers and hard tracing and send back the CIA spies/agents. Don't worry. This is all a inside news but I think its safe to mention, they have deported large number of CIA agents back to USA.

No need to. They have done great work for Pakistan. Saved the country from war in early 2000s.
Saved the Nation from surgical strikes and raids from India.. Saved the Nuclear program in 1998.
What more do you want? Confronted face to face with USA within the last days.

And yes, it is supposed to be the most dangerous Intelligence agency from certain views.. that's why RAW, CIA, MI6, RCIS and the world is running and chasing them.. They are being worked hard to be proven as terrorist organisation.

(but not sure) ISI is also responsible to render its services against internal threats. If not, there should be other agencies. Where are they?
You accept it or not, this whole disturbance and indirect interference of external agencies through our so called political parties (like MQM) indicate the failure i think.

where is ISI i think it is a silly question...............ISI is busy in tribal areas and against CIA and RAW and they have a lot of work todo......its not only ISI's responsibility to handle karachi situation other agencies are responsible for internal security too like FIA, IB, police CID etc..............dont involve ISI and army in every matter bcz when they are involved people say that army is doing this and that on its own and when they are not involved then same people complain that ISI is not doing anything......
If every other security agency fulfill its duty then there is no need of such QUESTIONs where is ISI

The ISI is one of the three intelligence service agencies of Pakistan, the others being the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Military Intelligence (MI). I think ISI is bound to operate outside Pakistan. ISI is not agency worked under civilian government, there are FIA, special branch, CIA, IB so why all tunes broken at ISI? ISI has its own parameters of working responsible for national security. They have their own framework. Karachi violence can't refer to ISI as it is political problem. Civilian government has enough resources to calm down this situation so let them do.
