See why many voted for PTI this elections was due to sheer frustration with MQM and hearing the same excuses non stop , MQM like PTI now was enjoying power but there is nothing for the people ! My friend, before 1989, a lot of people from the UAE, including people who are listed as multi-billionaires today had houses in Karachi. Karachi was their summer getaway, and then PPP and MQM came into power, and the rest is history.

Let's not kid ourselves. We, the well-off, are generally insulated from the daily humiliations of the masses. There's a very good reason the PPP and MQM came to power. People had genuine reasons to vote them to power. But the power they built from addressing these concerns has been corrupted and misused, and will continue to do so until someone else takes up the mantle and addresses them. Until then, we're stuck with PPP and MQM. You can't get rid of them by force alone.

Karachi's problems cannot be solved until PPP & MQM exist in any shape or form.

The issues faced by Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, etc. Cant be solved until large parts of the city are completely bulldozed. Proper 21th century sewage systems are created with proper biochemicals cleaning plants. A strict garbage collection force and strict laws that should be enforced with an iron fist. Ban things like plastic bags, paan, naswar, plastic straws and anything else that can block drains or create a mess.
Punishments should include:
Heavy fines when caught littering, and a week of community service.
If the surrounding of their home or shop is dirty, then the same punishment should be applied.
In schools, the Japanese method should be employed. Where the students are in charge of cleaning the entire area.

well mqm politics is buried their street power is finished karachietes have bycoted & ignored Altaf completely and given a heavy mandate to PTI additionally PTI is in power precisely because of MQM now they have a PM , President and Governer besides all sort of ministries so none of the excuses make more sense , the electorate are enjoying the power whereas the masses are suffering abuse despite paying a heavy price ,, if PTI will make the same excuses karachi is better off voting PPP in the next elections as beggers cant be choosers and they may do something as PTI of today is making the same bull crap excuses what MQM made over the years " there MNA / MPA's are enjoying the perks their workers have govt Jobs .. but nothing for the residents

This is not a item which happened 1-3 years ago or even 5 years ago but since
2007 When Musharaf Sahib was removed from power , Karachi has been overlooked



a) Waste burning & Power generation plant is missing
b) Desalination plant dedicated for Karachi's need is missing
c) Sewage Water treatment plant is missing
d) Transport solution is missing , Bus Capacity is not Maximized by Government


Karachi is a National Issue as it is a Financial Backbone for Pakistan


Sindh has failed , it's largest City



Karachi is eqaul to Pakistan's , Miami City or Los Angeles
Lahore is equal to Pakisan's , Boston or Texas
