latest reports aircraft has departed from Karachi Airport as PK-308.

* Technical fault of the aircraft is rectified and the aircraft has departed from Karachi Airport as PK-308.

* Some passengers refused to fly and the process of off-loading those passengers and their baggage further delayed flight's departure.

Scheduled departure time for PK-308 was 4:00PM so it suffered nearly 4 hours delay due to the technical fault.

According to following news report, there were 421 passengers on PK-308 and aircraft experienced problem with starter of fourth engine (engine number 4 ?).


Karachi airport manager Nasir Sheikh told The Express Tribune that the pilot immediately informed the administration when the fourth engine of the place experienced a technical fault.

Sheikh confirmed that the plane was stopped after the fourth engine’s starter failed to function properly.

“Media has highlighted the issue unnecessarily and tried to make an issue out of it,” he said. “There was no fire and no smoke. The fire vehicles were only sent for precautionary measures.”

The plane, with 421 passengers, was scheduled to depart from Karachi at 5:15pm.
