This is a mistatement..karachi is a trade,industrial,transportation hub...but its a hub of resources and workpower that comes from the adjoining province and all over pakistan itself.The goods being shipped in and out..the customs over which produces the main govt revenue/tax is produced all over pakistan and transported through karachi because its the main national port.So its not like karachi produces whole of sindh's manufacturing..those are done in the mills and factories..karachi acts as the node.Without the surrounding province it would be nothing by itself.The foodstuff from the countryside also sustains the population of such a huge metropolis...so the 2 are connected by mutual prosperity..u can't look at them in isolation.

You're correct, however, the funds dedicated to Karachi are still way below par. I don't believe that funds should be directed based on the output of a city. They should be directed where they'll benefit the overall economy the most. If that former were the case, Balochistan would've received a much larger percentage of the budget without much return for that investment. But Karachi is essential for the country's economy and crippling issues like loadshedding, security and traffic jams (yes, traffic jams) once resolved in Karachi will benefit the economy greatly.

Its treat to see these crocodile tears every few days from MQM supporters. PMLN was fast losing support in Saraiki belt and ALL other parties (MQM, PMLQ, APMLl, TuQ, PTI) were trying their best to provoke the Saraikistan issue. At the end of the day PMLN had to convince the Saraiki voter and after getting landslide victory in Saraiki belt it effectively gave a shutup call to other parties.

MQM should woo the rural votebank get majority in Sindh and then run Sindh as it deems fit, its as simple as that. if rural Sindh doesn;t vote for MQM then its the fault of MQM which has failed to make its case. Please spare us the sob stories and perform on that end. No one likes a perpetual nag.
