Hi all,
as we know Kandahar was one of the greatest blots on the proud history of our nation,a moment of weakness where we capitulated before terrorists.

I would like to know what will be ur responses if such an incident (god forbid) happened in the future also.?

p.s.:

No BJP vs Congress match...It was an all-party agreement to release the terrorists which obvioulsy the Congress doesnt accept now.

I think there should be no negotiating with terrorists and if that plane is in a neutral or a friendly country try resue ops with Special Forces.

I think not only the special forces but the airfoce also has to take part if its another country like Afghanistan.

Send your special forces to take over the plane and ask the jets to bomb everything around the plane...every moving vehicle with terrorist supporters or any building in the airport..which would help the special forces in neutralisng any terrorist in the plane..and taking off as soon as the plane is secured.

And as a lesson for any state supporting terrorists like Talibans were supporting the terrorists at them time of hijacking....we should keep bombing them till a week so that noone messes with us in the future.

But these type of operations require balls which only the Israelis,Americans and Russians have.

You should have asked Afghanistan to fuel the air craft and fly it to some friendly country and then stage a OPS there. All those bombings threats and other war mongering is quite frankly just non realistic bs.For that kind of thing you need diplomatic power of US of Former USSR which even China does not have despite being the 2nd biggest economy.

Dude whats the use if the states are like Somalia or Afghanistan..?what do they that much valuable for our AF to bomb for a week.

We would be only wasting our bombs and nothing else.

Look USSR supported VietCong and VietCong is also known for killing South Vietnamese Civilians but never did US ever dare drop a bomb on USSR.The world is full of hypocrisy.Literally every nation has supported insurgencies in each other backyard.Regan backed Efraín Ríos Montt and many other ruthless dictators who staged massacres genocide etc.At that time Taliban were supported by UAE, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia - Could you have bombed these countries like you say above - Of course not.

It's not even practically possible unless you perfect logistics setup.

I dont understand the bolded aprt..A'stan was at that time controlled by the Taliban and its Al-Qaeda cohorts.

So how will they have re-fuelled our plane and allowed it to fly to any friendly country.?

True at that time we also didn have any logistics to support such a long range mission - no re-fuellers.But we could have asked the Russians to make use of the Airbases in Tajikistan to do such a mission.

But now we have the logisics part - mid-air refuellers,Farkhor airbase etc.

We need only the b@lls and the will to do it.

I think its better to know about the incident and then comment.

Afghanistan fuelling the airliner is total crap when it was them who were supporting the terrorists. They even searched Indian officials for arms when they went for talks with them.

And regarding bombing bs...read the last line of my post...i said only Americans,Israelis and Russians have the balls to do it.

Where is that option that, when the plan freakin landed on Indian soil, let it not take off then n there.

Yeh kareinge, woh kareinge, doosre mulk main ghuss ke maareinge. Tamashay hi kareinge at the end of the day.

Another comment without knowing about the incident.

The plane took off from Kathmandu and landed at Amritsar for refuelling. The plane was denied refuelling and NSG were contacted...as NSG was not in Amritsar so it took some time and the plane took off without refuelling and had to refuel in Pakistan.

bhai I intentionally left it out cos...no one will choose the other options if this si there..

Serioulsy my question was for a "Kandahar" type hijack...not any hijack..

Like George W Bush said....why should i waste my million dollar missle on their fifty dollar tent.

On a serious note i was talking of supporting our special forces and about the week long bombing...it could act as a psycological warfare...dont you think this type of incident would have never been repeated.
