Kabul set to launch efforts to ‘isolate’ Pakistan

The Afghans like to throw their weight around and tell everyone how great and superior they are.

no bro this is pakistani pathan then again its our own pahari daangars who also plot and rip us off. i love the cheap left over china goods they try selling us twice the price what it costs in uk. lolz

I will support @A-Team here with few exceptions. Afghanistan is our neighbour and will remain so forever. Sowing seeds of hatred will only lead to the delay of inevitable; our peaceful future together. We in Pakistan must distinguish between who are at fault and who are helpless to change anything. A common Afghan refugee or citizen is poor, helpless and just like a normal human being deserves to live in peace with dignity. Situation around him is hopeless and desperate. It is easy to manipulate a desperate mind. Our efforts should be to reduce the misery of a common Afghan through legal trade which will help him improve his quality of life, educate his children and distinguish right from wrong. Afghanistan and Pakistan have much to offer each other despite what you would normally believe. For example Afghanistan has fresh and dry fruits, wool, hides, carpets, minerals, timber and tourism (trust me Afghanistan is blessed with natural beauty). Many of you might not believe but Afghanistan can become a really good investment destination for our industrialists. If they can go set up factories in Bangladesh why not in Afghanistan at some point in future? Our contribution in uplifting Afghan economy will come to benefit us. It will be foolish of us to loose sight of long term prospects because of short term differences.

Point to remember is our destinies are intertwined. Let's not loose sight of what can we achieve together.

@A-Team
Your people need to understand a few points. Foreign powers in your country are no friends of yours. They have their own agenda which may not be in best interest of Afghanistan. India is not there because it loves you. She is there to spread instability in Pakistan and gain access to central Asia which otherwise is blocked by China and Pakistan. It is in India's interest to keep Afghanistan in turmoil. She will do everything to keep you in state of civil war which allows her to play filthy games. Afghanistan people need to remember Pakistan hosted and helped Afghan populace when Soviet backed regime was killing and throwing them in prisons. Taliban regime was brought down with the help of Pakistan. After doing this, we can rightly expect that Afghanistan would not let India use its terrain to spread terrorism and separtism in Pakistan. Many of Afghan officials who spew venom on Pakistan were refugees in Pakistan. Our anger is justified and should be understandable. Despite the ill-treatment of refugees in some camps in Pakistan, it is still better than jail like camps in Iran where Afghans are sent to die in Syria.

I do not favour distinguishing between good or bad Talibans. Afghan Taliban are a menace and do not belong to this century. I support their full neutralisation wherever they may be. This however is not that straight forward. They will stay around because of following reasons. Remove these reasons and they can be eliminated.

1) Afghan forces have not shown any ability to defeat them.

2) They enjoy considerable support in certain segments of Afghans especially rural Pashtuns. That can not be ignored.

3) Afghan government officials have not been able to come up to people aspirations. Taliban will remain an alternate hence and will continue to draw some support.

4) Pakistan will never ignore its security. With Afghan army, intelligence, government officials, media and a large section of society completely singing Indian language, it is a legitimate concern that Pakistan's security will come under threat with no well wishers in Afghanistan. You can not possibly expect Pakistan to watch and do nothing.

5) It is my assessment that Afghan Taliban are fully capable of and are operating from inside Afghanistan. The one's inside Pakistan are only source of any reasonable link for talks or leverage. Their arrest will not affect insurgency. It will only make it uncontrollable.

6) Absence of representation of Pashtun ethnicity in Afghan governance has inevitable fall out on Pakistan side where Pashtuns live with their ties to Afghan side. Pakistan has legitimate concern as it fears another wave of Afghan refugees should Northern Alliance gains absolute power.

There is work to be done on both sides. While it is easy to hurl insults, threats and accusations at each other, we are not making things any better. India, US or any other foreign power does not care how many Afghans are killed if it serves their purpose. In the end, it is Pakistan and Afghanistan which will have to take charge of their affairs and talk bilaterally. At the moment we are compromising our future for the sake of foreigners. It is us who are suffering not them.

Elections are nowhere near in Afghanistan to work on electoral politics over national interest.

Elections are merely held for Kabul and some of the other big cities, further inland, warlords and tribal elders still reign supreme and people vote for whoever their warlord says, if they vote at all.

Finally a sane voice here :)

- Pakistan and Afghanistan are having major differences and they will need to work it government-goverment.
- We cant live in state for hostility for perpetuity and thus need to be frank with each and find a work around.
- Those advocating emotional argument need to realize that we as neighbors are here to stay and thus need make it work one way or the other.

Obviously I have noticed you don't get carried away like other Afghans. But let me tell you as long as Afghan will continue to be the poodle of those Hindus, peace between Afghanistan-Pakistan will remain elusive. If this is what Afghanistan wants then be it, you can trade with them through Chabahar or W.e land you want. Or We can forget past and move ahead and start a new Era of friendship Pakistan-Afghanistan-China-Iran but if you will try to bring in other entity there will no playing.

Why is Pakistan hosting millions of refugees from this ungrateful country called Afghanistan?

Throw them all back.

Honestly, we cannot throw out all Afghans just because of a few ungrateful inbreds!

However, what I am unable to understand in the almost 14 years of this Terror War is why we do not tell the US the truth that if we start to take on the Haqqani's, not only we lost all the pull that we have over them we also start taking on the largest, the most organized and supported freedom fighting network of Mujahideen which neither we can afford nor the Afghans. If only the Bitches in Afghanistan get it!

Sadqay theevan'......... I iz so scared that I just shat in my pants! :cray:

Keep Wagah open for the next six months and we'll be more than happy sending all them humans to your side.......... or let us know when and if your humanity dries out and are ok with what we are planning............

By the way, if your humanity fever doesn't drop with the dose of Afghans, we have a couple million Bengalis to send as well. Your wish will be our command.

Well ,Refugee of those people and insurgency in Afghanistan during 80s was created by your leaders and friends .Sot it is your responsibility not ours .

I have heard this statement before from somewhere else :lol:

Nobody is babysitting anyone. It is all fair game. Kabul has no moral ground to point finger at Pakistan. Many APS have happened in Pakistan because Kabul are harboring these TTP terrorists.

The region can be peaceful only if Pakistan and Afghanistan work together no amount of India, US or anyone can solve it

im sorry but thats quickly turning out to be a wishful thinking. And that is something we already r doing since past 16 years to no substantial results.

anyways thats r plan B, if this fails?

Well .through a neutral perspective , we can see a considerable change in the attitude and behaviour of Afghanistan after Chabhar port finalisation .

Sirji ,they are also humans .

Sawan k Andhay ko sab harra hee dikhta hy..

I think the big picture has got completely lost in this thread. Truth is that I actually like and sympathize with Afghan people. I wish you all the best. Afghan people especially the girls are very good looking. Afghan girls are really pretty and mesmerizingly beautiful. The Afghan brothers and sisters need to realize that india is an enemy nation of Pakistan. For that reason we can't really let anything from our side go into india nor can we really allow anything from india into our territory. We therefore cannot let Afghan cargo pass through to india via Pakistan. It's nothing personal. It doesn't mean Pakistanis hate Afghanistan. It means we have our security concerns. The Afghans are more than welcome to choose their friends and trading partners. It's their right and prerogative. It's got nothing to do with us Pakistanis. But please don't ask for our territory to be used by our enemies. Chabahar port will be the best route for Afghanistan into india. Please leave Pakistan out of this. Our focus is completely in tune with CPEC. I hope Afghan brothers and sisters understand this.

Since Pakistan was created many world powers tried to Isolate Pakistan but failed.
There are just too many of us to feel isolated.
We are not Sweden with 9 million population or Lithuania with few hundred thousand. There are 180 million of us and we are all over the world. Even if countries stop trading with us completely, it's their loss as our domestic market is,huge and has demand for almost everything. likewise all necessities are produced or can be produced in country if need arises.
I laugh and laugh at countries threatening us of isolation, and now the tiny puny little India's lap dog chiwawa ,Afghanistan?
