Capital punishment is rarest in Indian Judiciary system , mostly its for terror related offenses when its against our national security.

Yesterday , Mumbai special court has awarded death sentence for rape and murder.

No man, it has nothing to do with national security.. most terrorists are in jail, and get between 5 to 10 years RI. Its the mass murderer or killer of govt official/ministers who get hanged(happens rarely)

Rapes are social issue which comes under law and order but the trend which is going on is to just blame Indians.

Atleast Indian Media is open to debate on all the issues unlike other nations which hides such crimes. be it rapes, domestic violence etc.

Have you read UN report of 2014 ? even in the recent Ukraine conflict, there have been reports of rapes in the conflict zone.

The report focuses on 19 countries engulfed in conflict or trying to recover from fighting where sexual violence including rape, sexual slavery, forced prostitution and forced pregnancy occurs, mainly against women and girls but also against boys and men.

It lists 45 groups in Central African Republic, Ivory Coast, Congo, Iraq, Mali, Somalia, South Sudan and Syria as well as Boko Haram in Nigeria that are "credibly suspected of committing or being responsible for patterns of rape" in conflict — 13 of them for the first time.

The report singled out that group's abduction of hundreds of Yazidi women and girls in Iraq, some of whom were taken into Syria and "sold" in markets to be used as sex slaves. It said "three cases of forced abortion perpetrated because of the ethnicity of the victim were documented by the government" of Iraq.

In Colombia, the report said, "women working with displaced communities and calling for land restitution have been targeted by armed groups and subjected to repeated sexual assault."

In the Central African Republic, the report said 2,527 cases of conflict-related sexual violence were documented in 2014, adding that "all parties have used sexual violence to subjugate and humiliate opponents."

In Sudan's western Darfur region, it said the number of displaced civilians has increased over the past year and so have reports of sexual violence.

And in South Sudan, it said sexual violence remains prevalent — including gang rape, castration, forced nudity and forced abortion — which is "exacerbated by impunity and a militarized society in which gender inequality is pronounced."

According to the report life in occupied east Ukraine involves "killings, abductions, torture and ill-treatment, sexual violence, forced labour, ransom demands, and extortion of money".

The report detailed one example, where a woman, kept captive with her child by militants in the occupied Luhansk region, was severely beaten with rifle butts and gang raped until she lost consciousness.

According to some reports many Ukrainian women are kept in sexual slavery by Russian-backed forces in Luhansk and Donetsk.

Women's rights groups say rape and sexual assaults problem in Ukraine receives little attention because many women fearing stigma or repercussions do not come forward to report the violence or seek assistance from NGOs and humanitarian aid organizations.

i did not blame "hindu mentality" but i didn't know that the youngest fellow was muslim... remember, his details were not disclosed until this year and i wasn't desperate on knowing the religion of those psychos... for me, the fact of them being jailed and their vile views known was enough.

the problem is that when progressives in the indian media highlight actual problems in india ( farmer suicides, "honor killing" etc ), the fake-patriots jump and declare those progressives as sickular, congis, commies and what not.

the problem is that when progressives in the indian media highlight actual problems in india ( farmer suicides, "honor killing" etc ), the fake-patriots jump and declare those progressives as sickular, congis, commies and what not.

I have been following many social issues which are creating anger among Indians but pushing all the blame on the Government is incorrect.

There are various reasons behind farmer suicides from WTO to droughts to micro financing to seeds to rainfall etc.

Central and State Governments are taking actions and have even declared droughts in many mandals and districts , i know if the problems are solved before then farmers will not commit suicides but Government is giving compensations to the deceased farmer families later.

I think highlighting about the juvenile religion was important because it was turning into bashing of one particular religion.

I hope that day will be not far when Indians will understand international politics and try to see when such incidents are taking place , which International conferance is going to be held.
