@rockstar08 there was a recruitment event for TA here, I saw a chinook and a small tank .. dont know which one, but looked too small for a tank.
In India I have seen mig 21, and Sukhoi 30 .. dont remember the rest.. there was massive crowd when I went to see the display ..

T.A? I am therefore correct in assuming you live in the U.K? I was a cadet in CCF, am presently training (fitness wise) to try and join up with the T.A. Did a taster session back in July, loved it!

Back on topic: At the OP, sorry you had a bad experience. But i don't blame the Pakistani Army or whoever is in charge for what they did, they must have some reason to do so.

Personally I have visited Pakistan a couple of times, my only family there is a Paternal uncle in Karachi. That's about it. I really, really adore the innocence of Pakistani culture.

Because of Security reasons & how do you know that Army famalies are allowed to see what is been made? I don't think that happens & as far as politicians go they are just given a quick or fast tour because the Army knows these politicians are good for nothing.

Not allowed? I disagree. There's no restriction on seeing such equipment on You Tube, exhibitions, demonstrations open to the public etc. You can even sit inside the cockpit of a SU 30 during exhibitions of military equipment and inside the confines of a tank. You can even board Naval ships during navy day. Interacting with jawans and officers ain't a big deal. So what's the problem?

What you're not allowed to see is the secret stuff. Like what the defence R&D establishments are up to! And of course entry into defence establishments which is a no go area for civilians due to security reasons. (See post #3 by justsomeguy).

A country where 300 guards and 50+ cars are escorting a chief minister, that country is more secure than any other country.
