I'm afraid, I do not know enough about Pakistani politics at local level to add to your comments. I hear missed views, some very positives, others not so much. In this program, there was lot of positivity, whilst recognising the issues, meaning the people are not blind, that can only be a good thing.

Personally, I think the establishment card gets over played in Pakistan, because we are not a stand alone case, every country has an establishment. It kicks in when the civilian rule is weak, and our civilians have been very weak, they lack capacity. I prefer to concentrate on the civilians, and whatever role the so called establishment may be playing will naturally recede with time. That is very acceptable. But, the civilians have to deliver. power does not exist in a vacuum. There are examples, where the establishment receded, when the civilians delivered, such as Turkey, South Korea and Indonesia come to mind.

If this one anomaly is reversed it will end PPP's grip over Sindh. They have to either win some seats from Karachi or at the very least form alliances with PTI and/or MQM.


If PTI manage to do this one thing I won't be surprised if they again manage 10-15 seats from Karachi.

Not all Punjabis are bad. They are the closest to us Muhajirs culturally and some of the strongest anti-establishment human rights activists were from Punjab like Asma Jahangir and I A Rahman. Only the Punjabi-Potohari uthai geeras of establishment are a problem.

Infact we should have invited the Punjabi Shias when they were under attack in the 1990s. They are rich and they would have made a close alliance with our Lucknowi Muhajir Shias.

Muhajirs, like dumbasses, continue to depend on PTI and establishment. Like the Biharis of East Pakistan did.
