Hmmm. Aren't you worried though if Assad falls to the Al-Nusra guys, that we're going to have them on our borders?
As for peace. Bibi scraped in by the skin of his teeth in the Israeli election. His philosophy is making the Palestinians more prosperous. The idea is that if they have more prosperity, they will be less inclined to orchestrate attacks.
That's all well and good - but at some point you have to move beyond that.
The Palestinians have made pre-conditions before they will even meet to discuss peace. First they said halt all settlements, then they said to release prisoners and recently they said that borders have to be "defined" before meetings.
So three massive preconditions to even meet for talks.
I'll be honest, the Palestinians don't seem to be in a hurry for a state. They seem to be enjoying the political games at the UN etc.
Meh, we'll see.
The problem is that you can't wait, there is no time. Extremism is in rise as people lost any hope in peace, and moderates influence is diminishing. By this Israel is helping perceiving Moderates as traitors and useless. Look at the changes in Turkey, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and Sudan. Israel will be the biggest loser in case it kept it's current policy.
As for Al-Nusra, Moderate wings of FSA are being armed and trained to outbalance them, we hope things work out.
