Johnstown's Showcase for Commerce was nearly two weeks ago, but today another major defense contract is being signed.
JWF Defense systems made a deal with Turkish company Hiscar Automotive to begin the design and engineering process for the Tur-Car.
The vehicle will be specially designed with off-road capabilities that are ideal for military use.
JWF will be responsible for making the armor of the vehicle.
"We're able to take two companies from across the globe, bring them together and come up with a solution that saves American and Nato lives. So we're very excited about it. To be able to protect our troops and our American way of life," said William Polacek, who will be involved in the project for JWF Defense Systems.
In addition to the deal practically guaranteeing new jobs, there are big amounts of money involved.
The contract between the two companies is projected to bring in $50 million over the next five years.
The companies also say that the Tur-Car has a future in the commercial market.
