If economics will form the backbone of the relationship, once security issues are resolved, then a rail corridor that connects Siberia with Karachi will do well in Russia economic projects in Africa. For example Novosibirsk (Russia’s third largest city) is a major industrial production and processing location in Russia for Agricultural products as well as other industries.

A route to Karachi is the shortest route without going through Iran. (which could have Russian and African companies face sanctions)

Africa has a growing population and Russia is one of the largest producers of commodities like Wheat.
