ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has been handed over 14 dual-seat JF-17 aircraft by China which would also be used for pilots’ training, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

A major development is made for increasing the potential for national defence as Pakistan Air Force begins preparations for the Block 3 of JF-17 multirole fighter aircraft.

The Chinese-designed dual-seat fighter jet produced jointly by Pakistan will be inducted into PAF’s fleet during a ceremony today. China will hand over 14 dual-seat JF-17 aircraft to Pakistan Air Force (PAF) today.

Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan attended the grand ceremony as the chief guest for the induction of dual-seat JF-17 aircraft into PAF’s fleet. The event was also attended by the Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong and Nigerian officials.

Earlier, the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra had achieved a remarkable milestone by rolling out the first batch of eight dual-seat JF-17 aircraft on December 27 last year.

A grand ceremony had been organised at the Aircraft Manufacturing Factory, Kamra where Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan was the chief guest while Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing and Executive Vice President of Aviation Industries of China (AVIC) Hao Zhaoping had also attended the ceremony as the guests of honour.

The air chief had also inaugurated the JF-17 Dual-Seat Integration facility at Avionics Production Factory, Kamra.

BS reporting by ARY. Why would china hand over to PAF when they were actually built at PAC.
Possibly either to offset capacity constraints at PAC or because PAC has already replaced the assembly jigs for the B-variant to the new block 3 A's to ramp up block 3 production quickly in the coming days.

We have in the past also received completely built units (CBU) from china to assist PAF in making up numbers quickly, so this precedence already exists.

it seems, may be Block B planned production is done, full production facility will be dedicated to block III probably.

And even more why again starting a new thread when we already have a dedicated one for the JF-17B even more purely based on a strange report?

.
Let's wait for official news from PAF it'll clear everything this tumba is butt hurt and laughing because they could only assemble 8 tejas in a year and we have 14 B units and block 3 production starting they are just showing their inferiority complex and butt ache ......

thread must be merged, but how come strange report?
do you mean the tv channel and the reporter are making a story out of nothing?

Given the few comments direct after @Zarvan 's post it seems as if it is not exactly correct since those B-models are not "handed over ... by China" but in fact manufactured by PAC. As such the whole story is a bit fishy IMO.

ofcourse true but main news is induction of block B and not who handed over what, it is understood, just poor reporting as usual.

A couple of questions. Exactly what-has been inducted. PAC has produced 8Bs. Has China sent another 14Bs to make it 26 in all? Or 14 kits have been handed over and 8 manufactured so far.
I agree with @Deino that this should be part of JFT Block Bnews thread.
