JF-17 Thunder Serial Number Pictorial Collection

Bismillah-hir-Rahman-nir-Rahim
Asalamu-Alaikum,

I've collected at least one picture of each of the JF-17 Thunder aircrafts from Block-I / First Squadron (16 aircrafts in total) except for the one with the serial number either 08-108 or 09-108.

I have searched the internet high and low and can't seem to find a picture of this particular aircraft.

I am looking for at least one picture with the aircraft either flying or parked (prefered) with only this aircraft in that picture, i.e. no other aircrafts in the background or in front of the aircraft (if it can't be helped, then it's fine).

The picture must not be fuzzy, blurred or thumb sized and the aircraft's name and the serial numbers should be clearly visible.

I've combined the pictures of all the other JF-17 Thunder aircrafts from the first Block / Squadron into this one mosaic to give you an idea. You may need to expand the picture to see it clearly.

Alhamdu'lillah, my collection of the first block / squadron is finally complete.

Pictorial History of the JF-17 Thunder Multi-role fighter:

1. Precursor to the FC-1 /JF-17 Thunder:

The FC-1 traces its origin to the Super-7 fighter program, a joint Chengdu-Grumman development project worth US$500 million. The development agreement was signed in 1986, but the program was cancelled in 1990.
Chengdu continued the Super-7 project independently and re-branded the design as FC-1. In 1999, China and Pakistan concluded a joint development and production agreement to co-develop the FC-1 fighter.

2. Prototypes:
The first prototype of the FC-1/JF-17 Thunder rolled out on 31 May 2003, and the aircraft made its maiden flight successfully on 25 August. A total of three flying prototypes were developed, along with a static prototype (PT-01, 02, 03, 04). Flight trial of the aircraft completed in 2005 and the aircraft entered production in June 2006.

PT-06 - Avionics Test Prototype.

Initial testing revealed that further modifications to the original design were necessary to improve the overall efficiency of the aircraft. The conventional lateral intakes were replaced by a diffuser supersonic inlet (DSI) similar to those of the U.S. F-35 fighter for better air-intake efficiency.

In March 2007, CAC delivered two JF-17 fighters (#101, #102) to the PAF on 12 March 2007. They made their debut on 23 March during a fly-past as part of the Pakistan Day military parade in Islamabad.

1st JF-17 Flight Line at PAC-Kamra. 07-101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108.

A further six aircraft were delivered to the PAF in 2008 (07-103, 104, 105, 106, 107,108) from a Small Batch Production (SBP). Since these examples were produced in 2007 but delivered in 2008, the serial numbers were changed accordingly thus 07-103,104,105,106,107,108 became 08-103,104,105,106,107,108.

Along with the eight SBP examples delivered in 2007-08 which were updated, a further four aircraft were produced at Kamra during 2009.
