Low RCS and Stealth is different... what ever you mentioned is quite expensive for PAF...Don't include JFT with F-35.... I don't think JFT gonna be stealthy.... because it makes no sense to call a jet with external payload as Stealth JET.... you are suggesting whole new redesign of JFT .... it is better to invest in J-31.... What ever your wish list is too costly to get in J-17....

It seems, Block-2 upgrades are being tested on Block-1 JF-17 in china

@Oscar It seems there are some new small antennas on chin near the inverted antenna,,, Is it data links ?

Configurations are as such. The C-802 has the ability to receive mid course updates and this new link may be part of the equation.

Strange........in the first pic there is one C802 and one fuel tank on inner hardpoint.......doesn't it make the fighter unstable the moment missile is launched or if tank is usedup/jetissoned?

.
Data linked guidance?

Yes, via the launch aircraft or third party. Just as an option to improve accuracy otherwise the system is still fire and forget if needed.

Yes it does but the configuration is NOT unique. It is practised on the Dassault Super etendard as well.

Just requires a bit more trimmed flying and "hands on " experience.

Fire and forget is a just a marketing term. It will work only when the missile is launched from ranges less than 20km. Thats true for all missiles, even the AIM120

Not really, it will remain fire and forget regardless of external guidance. The carrier aircraft will feed the expected INS/GPS (if available) parameters to the missile, (in case the carrier aircraft's radar cannot directly lock on the target) and the missile is on it's way. The carrier aircraft can then turn away, the missile continues to go and look for the target. Adding midlink guidance helps in accuracy a lot, if you are launching from say 300km away. If you are launching from 20km away, the missile's own radar is powerful enough to lock on right from launch time, but if the aircraft is really withing 20km of the target, then he is in some deep shyt anyway.

I think i noticed in the LS-6 test launch video (the jf-17 one) that the aircraft does become unstable (rolls slightly to the other side) for a brief period, but then corrects instantly. FBW helps in that case, the computer knows the expected mass of the missile, and knows when the missile is away this will create instability and thus as such compensates for it by stabilizer movement.

Can the fuel from one tank be pumped on to the other side or middle tank to balance out? (like in civilian airliners)

No, again as I said, this is just a marketing term. In practice, the accuracy of an INS/GPS guidance is so bad that without external guidance, the performance of the missile is unacceptable. So, the attacker will more or less forced to use external guidance.

Nope, for missiles such as the Sea Eagle, AGM-84 or Exocet. The term fire and forget refers to the missiles ability to fly out to a preplanned search area based on existing target information given by the launch aircraft(or Ship). At that point the onboard sensor in the missile starts looking for the(a) target which was expected there and on finding the target attacks it.
Please do a read up on the guidance of various missiles types before proceeding.

Mirage2k and many other fighters of the world adopted same configuration as well ... For example US F-4.

My friends i want to ask ... why JF-17 thunder block 2 ... taking to much time, first thread was will block 2 will come out in june 2014 and now news is coming end of this year ... why ...

because if we run like this ... block 2 will take to much time and when work will start on block 3 and when we will go for 5th generation fighters.
