Even PN have rejected it in any form or upgrade, they will go for JFT if J-11 class jet is not available.

CFTs are must have for JFTs to be good endurance CAP / Escort fighter and long range strikes.

AoA

Navy suffers from the same defensive mindset. If they can win their case for a separate fighter sqn they should buy aircrafts that can disrupt the sea lanes in the Arabian sea.

As far as Conformal fuel tanks are concerned the would increase the range but reduce the load carrying capability.

Dose any buddy have any news about the payload inc/dec in jf-17 blk-3. Or just Aesa/HMD/IFR in blk-3. and blk-2 ifr probe?

IFR probe will be installed after the 29th JF-17 Block II gonna roll out.. installing an IFR is not a big thing But Making Jets... so PAF focus is to produce JF-17 first....

nothing about block III but AESA IFR HMD will be there for sure

Dont keep your hopes up. It will turn out to be another disappointment like block 2

The EW system in Block 2 was upgraded from chinese to spanish. In Block III most likely you will see either J-10 C EW systems or you will see Italian/Spanish/EU EW subsystems.

And African HMDS just like that plumber IFR. If only PAF doesnt chicken out this time.

We might see another Hardpoint

And then most likely, PAF will choose a PESA instead of AESA citing cost issues. Because if you read earlier interviews, Chiefs mentioned Electronic Scanned array radar, keeping the option open for P type or A type open

Your logic is suitable to paf thinking.

AESA is facing cooling Problems, while HMDS will may be south African they are producing quality one, that will be ok,we haven't got IFR because as i know it was simply rejected by pilots. They may opt for another design of IFR or simply push that down there throats.
Air frame has been strengthened, may be more use of composites, may grant an extra payload of 600kg.9 hard points expected.
Lot of peoples asked to get rid of compulsory fuel tanks and go for dorsel spine, which will have no drag at all as compared to FT.
But at the end of days,it all depends upon MOD ,which has word defense as least priority these days.
