Any attack by CM-400 might damage the carrier if not sink can effectively keep the carrier from active duty for some time would be enough for moral victory for Pakistan navy on the other hand would create a psychological pressure to Indian navy.

question is warhead weigh 400kg including fuel,payload, seekers etc.. let us assume it is fired from 90-100 km.. how much payload can it carry..

wiki says this dont know its true or not
AVIC gives ranges of 100-240km for the two versions with their 150kg blast warhead or 200kg penetration warhead.[23]

this is not the PN of '71. this time PN has MPAs, dedicated squadron of fighters for air-cover, anti-sub systems, and in case you missed the news C-602 missiles that will be deployed on land. on top of that the ZDK-03 AEW&CS is deployed at PAF's karachi base, which can give early warning in case strike aircraft are sent to destroy the naval installations(btw the AWACS can also operate in look down mode, so IN ships can easily be tracked too).

In addition there is a fully equipped marines and CM-400AKG, C-802AKG along with air launch harpoon and AM39 anti ship missiles. beside C-602 range is upto 400KM and I am sure PN is using it to its maximum range.

with a range of LRMPA's (7 P-3C and 4 ATR-72) and numerous other delivery options for air launch missiles like JF-17, Mirage VPA3 and F-16 MLU and BLK52 PN is very well settled for any IN onslaught. Not to forget 5 SSK, 3 MG subs and 10+ guided missile frigates plus 8 missile equipped FAC.

Depends on who's paying.

Technically replacing the gun bay with EW suite as well as detachable EW/ELINT pods on the wing pylons would do the trick for 'escort jamming'.

nope according to wiki warhead is 150~200 kg enough to ripe through the carrier hull .

Warhead is strickly the explosive part, does not include seeker or fuel. Plus, at Mach 4 it has enough Kinetic Energy to do lot of damage, explosion does the rest.

i disagree with you.... even frigates and destroyers can with stand with that lil payload... wiki says alot... funny now a days every anti ship missiles is being tagged carrier killer... china won't plan to build 3 CBG if it can be destroyed just like that...

Yes it will, do the math your self. At mach 4 the Kinetic Energy is 16 times that of a subsonic missile. To take a big ship like Destroyer out or ACC, you don't have to sink it. A massive damage to the Bridge/Control center will have it's effect. What good is the engine room and SAMs on board if the C&C is taken out, and crew is scrambling to save their lives, captain calling for 'Abandon Ship'


Torpedoes explode underneath the ship, not on it. The concussive effect does the rest.
