Did he tell you of what origin the radar is so we make some some kind of speculation (smart guess).

Well apparently KLJ-7 according to a few guys on Sino-defence with the following stats

125km range, 40 targets detectable, 10 on track while scan, 4 engaged with a ARH missile, 2 engaged with a SARH missile.

The range is debatable though as no context is given
