JF-17 Test & Trials in Malaysia - Mahatir Mohammad

Interesting

What’s the number requirement?

Could be a big order coming
Just 36
Seems Malaysia is not keen on spending anything on defenses

I think there are foir realistic candidates
Used f16, good credit gripen, jf17, bartered palm oil su35

Like bilal khan said. Its all about making space in superstitious minds of Pakistani commonfolk.
Hi my friend any idea how much will they make out of setting up a Proton plant in Pakistan
Sorry just a offtopic Q as per the press conference of Dr MM one should do business even with your enemy around
So looks like he is a staunch business man doesn’t mind spending 2-4 billion on jets if he is
Milking double the amount from the car plant
Any input will be appreciated
Thank you

Any export order is welcome be it 18 or 36. It's a evolving platform. Malaysia wants support infrastructure as well, once they see it is more affordable and easier to maintain they could possibly order more, or become regional support center for possible other clients.

These numbers suite Pakistan well at the moment because any larger numbers will mean need to create a alternate assembly line making the transaction more complex.

The JF-17 fulfills such a niche that I forsee it's future variants will be in production for a long long time, same as Super Mushak which still fetches orders because it offers good value for money. There aren't many new alternatives in the affordable supersonic light multi role category. Grippen is no longer a affordable light fighter, used F-16s will eventually become non feasible to new users and YAK-130 type jets are essentially high end trainers modded for combat. No comments for Tejas.

Hehehehehe good one
Serioualy tho I don't want to see Indians pulling some idiotic stunt and botching the whole thing.

I'm so excited for this deal and the oil and gas thing.
Fingers crossed.
You mean to keep indians from "ejecting"?
The only thing they seem to be good at...

First Its Al-Haj Project (Assembler/Manufacturer of FAW Brand in Pakistan) and most probably will be limited to assembling. We will have too many brands/options more then our market demand.
We have huge demand for low cost/maintenance/budget car. If proton can produce some thing like that it could achieve some success.
Its not Proton its Malaysian Palm Oil we import in large quantity. Proton will never reach that level.

. . . .
Proton is the Malaysian version of Mitsubishi, it got miserabley failed in states as well in Europe. Not a big fan of this car.

Let’s hope our marketing team does a good job

Turkish T129 is now touring Latin America and was off loaded from a lL-76 transport and is getting a lot of interest

Turks are very good at marketing

They are the on the ball and have a full year marketing plan with pipeline portfolio

We on the other hand are just spontaneous and staggered first come first served basis no plan what so ever

Even getting our pilots to do the sales pitch straight after a display poor boys

If we market our goods trust me we will do a lot of business

The trainer-advanced trainer-fighter package deal

Super Mushshak-K8 -JF17
