Since the Chinese did not provide proper video footage.. from different angles as in done in farnborough ..
It was a pretty neat show by the Thunder.

So kindly tell us, which fighter good enough to down JF-17 can come at a price of 30Mln, which is the price of 2 JF-17s.

As mentioned 100000000000000000000 times, the JF-17 is not our front line fighter for now in its current form, rather it is to replace the 2nd & to some extent 3rd Generation fighter fleet of the PAF.

For front line fighters, we have F-16s as well as gonna have the FC-20s, which hopefully would be good enough to be our front line fighter and take down any good adversary.

the cost of RAFALE to pakistan . . . . . . .

unit cost

$82 million a/c it self (2008).
$30 million for weapons and spares.
$8 million for per engineer/technician training.
$5 million for 1 pilot training
and also
$500 million for infrastructure(repair, maintenance and overhauling facilities )

so its about $120 to $130 million per plain

and with $120 Million we can by 8 JF-17

and can one RAFALE take on 8 JF-17 . . . .

Ecnomic Crisis is there but the world is still shopping.. we just bought F-16s and sold good number of JFTs to the world.

May be the price factor is not just 2xJFT, its a lot more than that. Also French aren't reliable.. you just proved by turning down deals for JFTs.

we would have gone for j10a/typhoon/rafale , had the indians selected a candidate in 2005 after showing the basic specifications required by them--- but now after 5+ years without any mmrca selection-- we are quickly catching up with the simultaneous improvements in both j10b and jf17

I doubt the jf17 coupled with awacs can be taken down that easily and in so many numbers

with each passing day that the indians are stalling to decide [and trying to stall any western sales to us , in the process] -- is giving us time to achieve the same capability with inhouse development!

dont underestimate the new aestern weapons , if they dont make flashy publications!

Here is a better theory, buy some what six JF-17s for the price of a single Rafale, send a single Rafale to attack an enemy base and send the six JF-17s to attack an other, even if half of the JF-17s are taken out, the others will leave their mark, but, on the other hand if the single Rafale is taken out, it's adi&#243;s mochachos.

Oh... sure , obviously , say that to the Hawker Hunters taked down by the Israeli Mirages III .... and to all the countries that have bought one of the Mirage V/50 variants. The XXIst' first decade is only a short morose phase for the french industry success story...
