ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — A prominent Yezidi member of Iraqi parliament has said an average of 3,000 Kurdish Yezidis are leaving the Kurdistan region for Turkey each month.

In a statement released Thursday, Yezidi parliamentarian Vian Dakhil announced that 100 Yezidi leave their homeland and cross the border to Turkey every day. She has warned authorities about the consequences of a Yezidi mass migration.

Assad family sponsored PKK terrorism for years in Turkey. I don't hear anybody talk about that. Anyway, Turkey was one of the last ones to support the opposition. It was the US (daddy of Egypt) who were the main sponsor of the opposition. Only after huge pressure of the US we started supporting the opposition in Syria.

The U.S. had a similar problem in the nineteenth century when, following a local slave rebellion, the southern slave states forbade discussion of Abolition. Over the next generation, political competition in these states became a matter of who was more pro-slavery than whom. Ultimately the result was the U.S. Civil War. (Had the Confederacy been successful it planned to conquer Cuba and much of America south of the Rio Grande.)

"In short" I'm pointing out how this restriction on Pakistanis' right to free speech is distorting politics and judgments of human ethics. Since you can't weigh pro and con you'll be fit to judge the "oppression and and occupation of Palestinians" only after you've surmounted these limits, not before - and they're keeping you from any feeling of humanity or obligation towards the sufferings of others.

But im born and raised in the UK and have never been through the pakistani educational system

Then you need to answer this: by what standard did you judge Palestinian Arabs to have been "oppressed and wronged" by Israel and not their own and other Arab leaders? - and do so in a separate thread so it smells less like you're trolling.

I am equally critical of prickish arab leaders

You should check out Tuvia Tenebom's book Catch the Jew! where he documents specific and vindictive efforts of British reporters to craft reporting to make it as anti-Israel as possible. Or just look at yourself and realize how little you care about Jews in Israel and how they have been oppressed by Arabs and Muslims and forced out of their homes in the Middle East, Europe, and Pakistan. Why should I believe you'd invest anything at all in facts that prove that the Jews are the ones on the side of justice, not Arabs? And if you don't do that, why should anybody believe you'll treat other minorities like Christians and Yazidis with justice?
