I want to know why Pakistan is not proceeding on jet engine production. Is it for lack of technology or lack of finance or any other reason. Detailed discussion is required.

Zero Determination!
Zero research!
Zero Finance!
In field of metallurgy.
Jet Engines are very complex machines, which do require lot of knowledge, expertise, dedication and manufacturing facilities.
Rest @araz Sir would shed the light on topic, the way it deserves.

Our fluid mechanics instructor once decided to get us on board for the requisite R&D but pulled out due to lack of sources, resources, funds, motivation. Lack of everything basically.

even building an automobile engine is feat.... if you go to Toyota plant.. in certain machines, they say 'these are the settings, set by them (Japs). we don't touch them.' Though we build some parts but critical engine parts are still imported...

China spend USD 30 billion dollar to build up just its jet military propulsion sector alone. What do you think of others who has lesser financial?

That is excluding on educational, training on expertise and human resources training..

If somebody thinks just USD 3-5 billion alone with determination and whatever can help you build a jet propulsion industries from scratch. This guy is dreaming.

You should learn from our Kavery jet engine development. Three decades of experience but no product yet. And we poured resources and sought foreign TOT to make it but failed meserably. To put it mildly it was a dud from start to finish. It is a complex system of engineering and technology only few countries have mastered it. For many Indians this bitter truth is hard to digest.

Actuallyyyyyyyy!!! our ruling class is not interested and rich civilians prefer their able children to serve abroad and less able children to serve here as managers :p:

actually our ruling dnt know what this sh*t is or how good it is for a country.... they have other preferences.. like bhutto abhi b zinda hai... mje q nikala etc

Just reminding u an agreement between Pakistan and France about engine harness technology during ideas 2016. Now speculate.
Indians signed that decades ago with a pretty mature R&D as compared to Pakistan. whats makes you think we can achieve such thing when Pakistan can even properly produce car engines ?while a few countries in the world have achieved maturity in engine tech how can Pakistan produce an engine..?

One step in the right direction is better than none.

One step in the right direction is better than none.
We have produced
1 tanks
2 air crafts
3 ships
4 a bomb

Why u sounds sceptic about our abilities,?
My dear. First rule of success is believing.

Have you designed, tested, developed any tank and aircraft? Ans is No...

If platform is available then people can improve them but working from scratch, it is something different
