Jet Engine Production in Pakistan

Pakistan's industrial base is advance enough to make jet engines; we have the engineers , scientists, metallurgists, chemical engineers , electrical engineers and the project managers to make it happen. However the illiterate corrupt politicians stop it from happening because they get fistful of dollars on contracts from overseas suppliers.
You got the people but no drive to achieve or sacrifice.....illiterate corrupt politicians is just one of the problems. The other half exists as lack of significant manpower concerned with R&D. Majority are concerned with coming 1st or 2nd in their courses and training institutes but without any critical thinking of implementing new designs....at least most of them. There are a few innovative people but those are wasted by the air force and particularly PAC. However, they have come a long way to be where they are....so who knows, maybe there is hope in the coming generation provided they work hard and cooperate practically. The more they try, the closer they'll get.

Why are you coming back to work at PAC? when you could have worked at Bombardier and have a bright and stable future ?

I didn't say that I'm coming to work at PAC. Was just stating the way I see things from point of view. Hope this clears any misunderstandings or confusion.
Bombardier is in shambles these days due to the management side of things.

Lol poor brainwashed Indian scum...Do search before posting sh!t...we do produced them, brainwashed bigot!
watch your language you retard.... and I am NOT INDIAN....
Before writing such response think and read and dont just jerk off your hand onto key boards. what is with you folks that you immediately swoop to foul language and violence.
You do not produce them from basic design onwards; it is just either knock down kits or just assembly from components.

People who are saying that making a jet engine is some extraordinary feat of engineering in present day are highly ignorant. Any kid who studies Mechanical Engineering is taught how a jet engine works and what needs to be done to turn it from plans on a paper to actual product. Those that do Masters in the field actually go into minor nitty gritty of each aspect of it. Heck Germany made a jet engine in WW2 70+ years ago and Pakistan cannot make it in present day :pissed:

You need the following:

1. Political willpower (severely lacking)
2. Resources (not available)
3. Advanced manufacturing techniques such as 5-axis CNC machines (available now since we have been building JF-17)
4. Availability of precious metals such as Titanium (will be expensive but not hard to find)
4. Brain power (available, or will be easy to find)

Jet engines aren't some black magic devices that is impossible to make them.

When India said????

I don't know .... How many propagandas are sold and running in Pakistan..

India never said. Provide any international or Indian source ( Indian source because if India said then Indian news paper will never miss)..
propaganda only comes from indian side that's why all your neighbors hate you.
If you continue to go off topic then you will be banned.

Pakistan Aeronautical Complex should produce jet engines from Russia or any other nation under license production or ToT because they may need at least 500 engines for there JF17 Bolck 3 and Project Azm Stealth Fighters.

Forget jet engines, first produce basic vehicle or tractor engine to begin with.

@denel

I believe that there would be no new engine producing countries.

As cars are going electric---no one wants to invest 2 billion dollars in to a gas engine---.

Fighter aircraft engine performance has gone so high---that only the top producers would have new engines coming out---china the straggler will come closer in due time---but will have a very difficult time catching up.

The best thing to do now---just attach yourself to the bigger fish and swim along---.

Just reminding u an agreement between Pakistan and France about engine harness technology during ideas 2016. Now speculate.

Hi,

You moron---you du----you know what that engine harness is---it is a bunch of electric wires in a harness that are in an engine compartment---.

Pakistan needed help with the heat shield for that wiring harness---. Pakistan does not even have the technology / ability to manufacture a heat shield for the wiring in the engine compartment---.

Brother, it takes time . Pakistan is only 70 Years old and what we have achieved is truly amazing.

How old is China ? How old is Israel ?
How old is even India ?
Our first parliament meeting was held on a dusty street in a fishing village called Karachi, we had no manufacturing, no armaments industry etc etc. Israel was helped by the colonialists , we were destroyed by the colonialists.

we are not able to manufacture power plant and here we are talking about jet engine xD :lazy:

Which requires a stronger industrial base? Nuclear weapons or jet engines? We can certainly do it, but it wont be easy or cheap.

Same or worse were the conditions at same time in China, Japan and Germany.
These are just excuses. In fact our nation is corrupt to core. We were far ahead in 60s than today.
Ask any old guy how Pakistan's industry was booming in 60s. @MastanKhan and then came Bhutto zinda he and with him downfall and corruption.
