there is st.thomas christians(Nasrani) who were converts from jews and sanatana dharmic people in Kerala. they have their earlier bishops from persia called mar addai and maari and their liturgy until 1950s were in the language Syriac . the ancient bible of st.thomas christians and any clue of their old history were destroyed under goan inquisition(portuegese forcing roman catholicism on native eastern christians). st.thomas christians for sure, have hindu customs, can be said they are hindus with christian belief until western christianity arrived in kerala,India. no, they don't look like middle easterners. :)

not Jesus, but St.Thomas was believed to have came many times to India. making small Christian communities in middle eastern countries like Persia,Pakistan before entering India.

St Thomas and King Gondapher

The apocrypha book "Acts of St. Thomas' mentions about his connection with the Indian King. Till the middle of the 19th century even the existence of such a king was legendary. How ever, a large number of coins were discovered in Kabul, Kandahar, and in the western and southern Punjab, bear the name 'Gondophares'.

Ruins of Taxila, Pakistan, where the apostle St. Thomas is said to have begun his missionary work in India. A yearly festival commemorating the coming of St. Thomas attracts up to 60,000 people.

I know he has too many followers in "secular" Bharat.

Not impossible, but unlikely. As far as his teachings, it is widely believed he was an Essene, a jewish sect.

Why will jesus go to India? and most importantly how? The existence of Jesus is now questioned, let alone a visit in India. Like for example, I was reading the other day how an active civilisation in Nazareth only existed after 2nd century AD.

He is as real as Bhudda or any other prophet. Be honest, do you think some guys in a hut sat around 2000 years ago and said, "Let's make someone up, no one will know and we will claim he was big in these parts 30 years ago. Who will check?" As with anyone born that long ago details are sketchy...even in Rome where they kept good records details of the period are hard to come by. And as far as his life? He was a religous figure, exaggeration is par for the course.

Ever played chinese whisper? Bible has been written hundred of years after the existence of the Jesus. But anyways, I wouldn't want to get into any religious debate as I know such sentiments can be high here, but I know there are some contradictions between the Bible's version of civilisation described and the recent archaeological evidence.

That was my point. (some was written within 50 years). No internet to fact check, the stories got blown up. But still real, like bhudda. Half the stuff is surely false, but I believe he lived, just not the stories around him. I believe Atilla lived. Not a lot of reliable info tho.

The Hidden Story of Jesus - Part 1 of 11 - YouTube

Lord Krishna and Jesus had a similar miraculous birth.

Lots of myths are inter-connected, they stick around because they resonate with the human condition. Jewish, christian myths tie into Greek myth, Sumerian etc. (these of course devolope after the death of said person, and facts and books hard to come by in those days, word of mouth mainly). It hurts my feelings not at all, being agnostic...but to deny these people lived is moronic as being a fundie. I am not Muslim either, but I certainly believe Mohamad was a real person. Even Gilgamesh was most likely based on a once living person.

So easy to go to India those days by boats and many did due to the worlds first university being located in India at that time.

Im pretty sure Jesus existed but there is no record of him from age 12 till 30 yrs old where was he? & what was he doing?
these are some of the questions many have asked and tried to answer.

Some of the teachings that Jesus said were also very similar to those taught in the east with Buddhist/Vedic philosophy too.
