Japanese Prime Minister rejects Putin's invitation to attend Victory Parade

Very interesting analysis, bhai. :)
Of course there is much more nuance to the current post 2nd great war order but I must say I meant no insult when I said 'vassal state', tomodachi. :)

I'm not rabidly anti US by any means, just very pro sovereignty for everyone. The Japanese are a great civilization, you must reclaim your chair at the high table. Given all their sequestration cuts, budget deficit etc, this might just fit right into the US's plans for the region as well, though (understandably) no one dare say so publicly.

IMO such a move will help stabilize the region further, just look at India and Pakistan since Pokhran and Chagai, it's actually helped keep the peace. No one dare speak of a full scale war with the other now.

The west is indeed a threat to Russia as much as a dysfunctional Western Europe living on US policy

Have you red the below statement from the thread i posted?? You still think Russia thinks highly of you than they do with we in the west(they still see themsleves to some extent as part of the west.lol)?? lool Nope they dont. :D

The intense attention being paid in Russia to which world leaders are coming to upcoming Victory Day celebrations in Moscow — and which are not — is a sign that despite its confrontation with the West over Ukraine, Russia's leaders still believe their country is a part of the West, and any sign to the contrary offends them, experts told The Moscow Times on Monday.

Japan didn't want to go anyway. In this regard the Japanese are like Romanians,we smile and say that it's a good thing that WW2 turned out that way but that's only a facade.Deep inside, actually no,it's not even that deep,we wish we would have won the bloody thing. We're just being politically corect.
I agree, obviously the Japanese even today still have as only regret 'losing the war' nothing else.
But we cant always have all you want in life, cant we?:pop:

me too...but in Russian marching style :p:...not the usual British one our soldiers are used to:victory:
LOOL You still have some of our legacy, i see.:enjoy:

That is a typical and baseless stereotype that is feverishly regurgitated, the Russian military has more modern equipment then anyone in Europe and it is increasing.

As for the Japanese, i understand why they would reject the invitation, the Japanese were humiliated in Manchuria.

And the Russians were humiliated during the Russo-Japanese war of 1905, where Russia's 'mighty' navy was annihilated/totally destroyed by a much more smaller emerging Japanese navy fleet. I guess that's why Russia never dared fight the Japanese/declare war on them during world war II(until the very end when it was obvious the U.S was already defeating Japan), the Russian still had in mind their former defeat under Japan(the Only Asian country to have defeated Russia even today).
Kudos to the Japanese, you people are good fighter @Nihonjin1051 :enjoy:

The Soviet Union did not want to start a war with Japan while it was fighting for survival against Germany, just like Japan did not want to start a war with the Soviet Union while it was fighting the US. Despite Japan's war with the US the Japanese military in Manchuria was not effected much, thus when the Soviet military was done with the Germans it was free to launch an offensive against Japan.

At the end, what is your point? I mentioned that the Japanese did not want to attend a ww2 ceremony in Russia because they were defeated in Manchuria. You suddenly mention a naval battle from 1905

BTW how is that "outdated" Russian military doing? Mind explaining how they are outdated, when they received more military equipment in one year then some NATO members have received in the last decade.

Well i must confess i forgot Japan is not the only Asian country to have humbled/defeated Russia, the Mongols were actually the first.:D
You mentioned Manchuria which is something from the past and had nothing to do with topic, so i also mentioned something from the past.:D

Russia might receive more military equipment thanks to its soviet era empire investments/legacies, but europe/U.S/NATO still have the technological edge overall over Russia.. Moreover, dont you wonder why despite we having a far bigger economy, higher living standards, and smaller population than russia, we still spend less on our military than you?:woot: We are not fools to focus too much on military while neglecting other more important sectors of our economy like Russia. Ask yourself why most of your officials, oligarchs, rich come here(there are countless numbers of them here in london) to live a better life/ invest/study etc. then you will get your answer.:);) tomorrows war wont be fought militarily between big nuclear powers, but financially, economically, best educational facilities/universities,inflluence, cyber space, technologically etc.:D

I mentioned something in context to WW2 and related to the topic, you mentioned something completely unrelated.

Learn the difference between past and present tense. Russia not only has a larger military then anyone in Europe, it also has more modern equipment then anyone in Europe. I know that is hard to swallow, nevertheless i fully expect you to be in denial and as so you will just keep repeating the same things about "soviet era".

but europe/U.S/NATO still have the technological edge overall over Russia..

Sure, like you inspected all of Russia's military equipment as well as all of Europe's military equipment to come to that conclusion. :rolleyes1: You are the worst type of fanboy. People like you are truly hilarious, the typical arguments are: claim Russia uses cold war era equipment but still lives in a country that operates cold war era equipment. Claim everything that is "western" is by default somehow "superior"

Russia already has new military platforms in every branch of the military, in a year or two from now when Russia is able to produce and put into service platforms like the pak-fa, T-14 main battle tank, T-15 heavy infantry fighting vehicle,
Kurganets-25 tracked armored personnel carrier, the Boomerang wheel armored personnel carrier, the Koalisiya howitzer, ect people like you will still keep screaming that the Russian military is "outdated".

Typical tactic for someone that loses an argument. You start branching off into other topics in order divert from your original argument(s).

Not everything is so black and white, comrade.

Hatoyama visits Crimea, met by pro-Russian official | The Japan Times

MOSCOW – Former Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama arrived Tuesday in Crimea despite stiff opposition from Tokyo to a trip that could be seen as legitimizing Moscow’s annexation of the Black Sea peninsula.

The government had urged Hatoyama not to visit the region, which was annexed by Russia about a year ago. Officials feared that if a former prime minister entered the territory with a Russian visa, it could conflict with Japan’s stance that Russia unilaterally took the territory from Ukraine in violation of international law.

But Hatoyama, who served as prime minister for just nine months from 2009 to 2010, paid no heed to Tokyo’s concerns, kicking off his three-day Crimea trip with a visit to the seaside city of Yalta, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported.

“I possibly could in some way promote the development of cultural and humanitarian ties between Crimea and Japan,” the agency quoted Hatoyama as saying.

The former prime minister was set to give a speech to university students in Crimea on Thursday, RIA Novosti reported.

Which argument have i lost?? LMAO. Its you who dont get any points about what i was saying.lool Why do you think western Europe despite having a farrrrrrrrrrrrr more bigger economy(Italy alone has a bigger/equal GDP with RUSSIA, forget about other european powers like Britin, France, Germany etc) than Russia with a far higher gdp per capital, living standards, smaller population etc, yet we spend wisely less on our military than Russia. lool Truth is you havent learned from your Soviet era experience. You spent almost 20% of your GDP on your military during your U.S.S.R empire days, what was the result/how did it end up for you?? In fact if spending on Military was equal to being an unrivalled/most prosperous/developed country in the world, then the U.S.S.R will still be standing and be the most adavanced/developed country in the world with the highest living standard of living and a model for all countries in the world today, instead it turned into a tragedy from which Russia still hasnt recovered from today.:partay: That's why we now see China as our main threat in the coming decades, since they increasingly have the economic/financial might to challenge the west these coming decades and they are smart enough to know where to allocate their resources in more important/promising sectors of their economy(they spend just about 2% of their GDP on defence, Russia spends almost 4% and increasing.lool), instead of focusing all/most of their energy/capital on MILITARY like Russia has been doing. They are indeed are quite a smart/wise bunch of people, they know where/how future war for supremacy wil be fought, it wont defintely be miitary as i said before.:D:P So Moscow can keep focusing on the wrong set of priorities for all we care, thinking it can 'scare/impress' us.loool If you were much more developed/prosperous and productive than us, then Yes our leaders wil rightly be scared to death of you, but you are not, you are focusing on the wrong set of priorities(well its the only part where Russia can try and show its still a 'great power; to be honest, so i understand your fascination with military spending, which is good for us, as your most wealthy citizens/officials flee with their money/cash to the more developed west. :enjoy: KEEP IT UP if you think your 'mighty' military scares us, meanwhile even your much more powerful soviet military didnt work gainst us at the end, so why will we be scared of a much smaller/weaker Russia?loo

NB: As i said before YOU SHOULD ASK YOURSELF HOW WE IN THE WEST/U.S MANAGED TO DEFEAT/BRING DOWN THE SOVIET UNION TO ITS KNEES/COLLAPSE, DID WE DO IT MILITARILY?:bounce::smokin:

Fascist Japan should never be invited in the first place. An irrelevant country like Japan has no place standing along side true independent leaders like Putin and Xi.

I am very happy Japan isn't going. Russia should never invite a fascist leader like Abe.

Countries like Japan, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands are yesterday's powers. They are just subservient vassal regimes to the U.S. that are dying and getting weaker with each passing year.

China is the future. India is the future. Two countries with nearly 40% of the world population with big markets, big economies, growth, emerging brands, etc.

.
@mike2000 is back :

It is not fair to say that Russia only relies on Soviet-era technology.

It has the Yasen SSN, Armata battle tank, PAK-FA fighter and S-500 SAM that have or are being developed in independent Russia. All these systems are at least on par with EU.

I prefer quality over quanity. In the end what do your people produce? Nothing. A slave army and thats it.

Your people don´t even look attractive.

As for WW II. It depends. In Italy we see it mostly positive. Mussolini even has a memorial in rome.

Number of Miss World from India - 5
Number of same from Italy - 0.

Number of Miss Universe from India - 2
Number of Miss universe from Italy - 0.

I don't know what parameter did you take, But you just went overboard with your logic.

And the army you talked about is 10 times the size of your army.

Dude, This ain't 17th century. Stop smoking that stuff there.

your culture has no global impact. Its simply not attractive for anyone. Your country is disgusting in many aspects. Be it its extreme poverty, that it still has bubonic plaque. That you throw your dead into a river, that you basicly have no hygienic standards.

Your army is 10 times bigger? Who cares? It lacks training, equipment and propably even shoes. Sorry but i have little respect for 3rd worlders. And i openly admit this. I show no fake tolerance. Italy is a free nation and we prefer honest politics here. I support Forza Italia, one of italias biggest political parties (leaded by Berlusconi). We have Alessandra Mussolini in the EU parliament and she openly says: Better facist than gay.

I´m facist and thats ok. Would i shake your hands? propably not. Why not? Because i deeply believe that i´m and my people are superior in evry aspect.

That doesn´t mean i want your people exterminated. Italian facism is not nazism. It means that our own interests are placed above evrything else.

And that way of thinking is not fixed on india.

As i said, i have no hate nor would i want bad for your people. But i have a complete lack of compassion or any positive feelings towards your people.

Oh I'm sorry if you do not know how many people visit India every year just to catch a glimpse of our history.
We are one of the worlds oldest and still prospering civilization. You are not.
We have worlds oldest thriving language, You do not.
We never invaded any country, You did.
We produce most numbers of films in whole world, You do not.
We have a country with mix race, religion and diversity. You do not.
We have worlds oldest city, You do not.
We have a country where a bar waitress from your contry can become one of the worlds most powerful lady.
Our country has been ruled by people of different faiths and religion, Yours did not.
We house one of the worlds most loved building, Taj Mahal. You do not.
IEEE has proved what has been a century old suspicion in the world scientific community that the pioneer of wireless communication was Prof. Jagdish Bose and not Marconi

Although modern images & descriptions of India often show poverty, India was one of the richest countries before British rule in India, i.e. during the early 17th Century. Christopher Columbus was attracted by India’s wealth and was looking for a route to India when he discovered America by mistake. India has fed the greed of almost every powerful nation or ruler (that/who looked upon it, during those times) and is poised to be at the top of the world in all aspects.

And as for the global impact :

We are world's 7 largest country, enough for quite good global impact. You are not.
We have the largest number of news channel in the world. It is the fastest growing telecom market in the world and has the lowest call rates on earth. I guess that makes some kind of global impact, doesn;t it? You do not.
Our Software Industry has grown from a mere US $ 150 million in 1991-92 to a staggering US $ 5.7 billion in 1999-2000. No other Indian industry has performed so well against the global competition. Did yours?

I've a number of facts to wake you up, But i have no interest debating with a person who thinks he is superior to others. We do not believe so. We believe every human is same. We believe in Vasudhev Kutumbkam, We believe in Peace and harmony. We believe that even if you are disrespecting us, we should forgive you because there is a verse in christianity which says so, and no matter if i am Hindu, I do believe in every other religion because that's what is in my blood.

Your army is 10 times bigger? Who cares? It lacks training, equipment and propably even shoes. Sorry but i have little respect for 3rd worlders. And i openly admit this. I show no fake tolerance. Well we have 3 largest army, so pretty much everyone cares except patient with ostrich syndrome.
I do not think you know what exactly 3rd world means, that is why you are using it as a disrespecting term. get educated. Know better vocabulary before using it.

Do not try to teach me about politics, We have worlds largest democracy and we proudly enjoy it even if it has some flaws.

I´m facist and thats ok. Would i shake your hands? propably not. Why not? Because i deeply believe that i´m and my people are superior in evry aspect.
There goes your ability to discuss things rationally. That is a crystal clear Natzi Syndome.

That doesn´t mean i want your people exterminated. Italian facism is not nazism. It means that our own interests are placed above evrything else.

Doesn't matter if you want us exterminated or incinerated. You can not do jack shit anyway. We were here 8000 years ago, and we will always be.

And that way of thinking is not fixed on india.
As i said, i have no hate nor would i want bad for your people. But i have a complete lack of compassion or any positive feelings towards your people.
That is called being stupid Natzi.
